We are and I hope you and yours are as well. I’ve had a couple of the Simones lately and they have both been great but it has always been high on my list of regionals.

If it was a Churchill size, it would be the HDM Escogidos. What did you think of it?

Alex Salomone - very good, perfect construction. 

 

Bride. Looove these. One of the better Monsters in recent years IMO.

NC Custom Corona - Picked it up from a shop in Ybor City.  Smoked it while playing some euchre with the fam.  Good flavors but tight draw until halfway through the second third.

Yes, that is it.  I like them in their own right, but if I were in the mood for a Hoyo, I would probably choose something in the regular lineup.  These have more body to them, but you can still taste some of the Hoyo flavors coming through.  I would never smoke a regular Hoyo as a second or third cigar of the day, but for that purpose, this cigar is perfect.

I've heard others dump on these lately but I'm really happy with my box. Great construction so far and I'm getting good RA flavors out of them. I'm not a big EL fan, but these don't seem to suffer from the flaws of other ELs I've smoked.

Large stick up first today. Tainos from 2001. Took this stick on with @Nate Chuwhilst on the Zoom Herf with @Jeanff, @Habana Mike, @Connoisseur Kim and @BoliDan. Great chat thanks guys.

These sticks whilst starting off relatively light built to full throttle in the final third. Fair to say the intensity and punch that they packed took both Nate and myself by surprise.

Been a nice Thursday - Sunday stretch.  Stepped on the Lancero unfortunately but it burned fine (eventually).  Have to say the JL2 (‘14) was the star of the show followed by the Unicos (‘16).  Punch Punch never disappoints and I question why I don’t reach for them more often.  The Coloniales was the first from a ‘16 box and it set the tone for something special.

Daughters of the Wind Cremello. I have read Rye Toast, cream, peppercorn as a profile and those are definitely present here although in reverse order. Slight burn issue on the wrapper which I am touching up too often or rushing the draws. The next one shall be dry boxed. These will age nicely
