An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

C&C ‘14 especiales. Fantastic start to the day C&C with a Monte 4 C&C time today with a Perla picked up from 24:24

2 PLP's earlier in the day

08 Cuaba EL now on the deck. Under-the-radar cigar. Very, very flavorful and enjoyable.

Lol Claus you just had the worst of luck in France

Well, I should have known, given my German roots and the love between the two countries :D

A nice Monte 5 in the morning and a Quintero panatelas tonight. Both were very nice.

maybe this tonight...

Those are SO good, the only reason why I'm not going through my box faster is that I am currently 6k miles away from it in Asia :D

Juan Lopez Maximo RE Suiza 2008. Like all JL that I've tried before, underwhelming.

I think you should try the JL #3. They are probably my favorite JL RE, but I agree with you on that most JL RE offerings have been lackluster.

After a couple of rough school days I finally had some time to enjoy a nice coffee and a cigar while waiting for a friend.

These Monte Carlos from '12 are amazing! It's the first out of the box and I'm already putting aside some money for when the box is half way gone... The '11 were my go to cigar for a long time, but it seems the newer ones are just as good, if not slightly better! It complemented my spicy cinnamon coffee nicely.

Afterwards my friend and I enjoyed a new LE in an old cigar bar we used to frequent before I went off to college 4 years ago. Sadly, the original owner had to sell the place last year, but the new owner has kept the ambiance and kicked it up a couple of notches!

The Upmann Robusto started out really nice and spicy, but the end was a bit of a let down. No real strong or nuanced flavors, just an empty smoke. Might be due to age though.

All in all a great day.

What the heck is this? never seen it before..

La Flor De Cano Short Robusto UK RE 2011. Absolutely outstanding cigar, despite being a vitola I despise.

ERDM Corona de luxe from 1998 while sitting on my hotel balcony with a view of the ocean in Boracay. Would post a picture of the view, but just got here at 10pm after a LONG travel day and it's dark. post-7384-13511756970709.jpg

Sunny and warm afternoon in Toronto today. I smoked a Bolivar Corona Extra from 2000, part of a sample of vintage cigars that Rob sold us recently. Still medium to full body even after 12 years, smooth and mellow at the same time. These have reached their prime and are now perfectly balanced. Time to smoke them!

Best,

Michel

Big smoking and golf day- '10 Reyes on the drive up, '08 Mag 46 on the links- killer, '11 QDO Corona at home, and now a '12 BCJ unwinding. I know I shouldn't smoke these yet but can't stop myself.
