A  couple of very good NC sticks this month, an Asylum Mini Corona, which surprised me, and a La Imperiosa. They had over eight months rest here, which really improved them compared to examples smoked last year. I think time on these dark Nicaraguan cigars usually helps. Of course, the way this often goes... I'll have another of either and it will end up completely meh.

UER JUN 18 Genios, many thanks to @slowsmoke for this “big gun.” I’ll do a review for the competition but I have to say this is so far Is. very smooth, kinda choc marshmallow or choc creme note, and medium bodied.  Just the right amount of sweetness as I end the first third.

If only it wasn’t so pricey...

Having a Taco after I had Easter dinner. The name of this cigar never ceases to make me smirk. A lot better than I expected too. A RyJ with the dial turned up to 11.

Have you had one? I couldn’t be certain until I tried one. I have 3 left now. One purchased almost a year ago. The one I grabbed tonight was from a 24:24 quarter box I split with a buddy. I’m sure they’ll get better with time.

Reynaldo Robusto from my recent trip to Havana. All new cigars spend 30 days in self isolation even long before it was the thing to do . They were good when I was there and it was good today.

Not yet... I tucked them away thinking they'd need a couple years.  I should probably smoke one just to see though,.. I do that with almost everything I buy, but for some reason I decided to take the advice on these from the 24:24 page that said "these will need 3 years"... of course, it changed shortly thereafter to say "I was kind of drunk but it appears I rated this a 92.1??02".

Mmm, best one of the box so far, have to share it with y’all. A nice tea base, with some barnyard hay, coconut, and a touch of citrus. A bit of a surprise as most of these have been rather meh.

The legendary Party Short, this one UBM FEB 18. Such intensity of flavour, this one dark roast coffee, even a touch of liquorice, on that slightly sweet rye bread base. Amaro liqueur? Maybe it’s the whisky. Every one from this 50 cab has been a winner.

Have had a string of “eh” cigars as I’ve been dipping into boxes I don’t often focus on in boredom. Needed to end it.
