Yep. I have a 10 year old working hard to become a college lax player. Last year they were all over the east coast on travel tourneys. Looks like this season is truncated or cancelled. We have a great program here in Massachusetts so they are keeping the travel teams working hard at home during the COVID19 pandemic. You a lacrosse guy? Great game.

Smoked 2 cigars side by side, an Arturo Fuente Flor Fina and an HURR, enjoying a quiet sunny afternoon at home.

Surprised to say but the Fuente won out with better flavor.

R&J Petit Royale.  Great construction, beautiful wrapper and even burn.  Little in the way of typical rj fruit and cherry but it’s a cedar bomb with hints of sweetness and nuts.  Nice way to spend 45 min

Yes I am! Well is was... I am in Canada so it’s our national sport, many think it’s hockey. I played both of course and still play hockey.
I played Jr A lacrosse and played university level as well. We won our national championship my senior year, love the sport.
That’s why I commented, I can see those nets a mile away.
I assume it’s field lax as it’s much bigger in the states. I played box all my life until university. Get him to pass and shoot both hands, left and right which I assume he is doing as a field player. That was the one thing I had to quickly learn when I played field going into uni. Cheers

Sig I ‘13.  Damn good!  Haven't had good luck with the handful of these I’ve had.  This one was an exception.

BRE OCT-18 MAG54. At first glance, the wrapper is jagged with a couple small cracks, but I think due to me just being careless with it in one of my humidors.  Taste was much better than it looked.  Barnyard, soft molasses with a finish of salty peanut butter.  Different than what I normally get off this stick but I'm not upset.  

I hope everyone is staying healthy, safe and smokey! 

 

SEP-17 Super Partagas

1/3 was kind of blahh with a somewhat firm draw. One dimensional. Nice burn however. 

2/3 the draw opened up slightly and a nice burn remained constant.  Flavors were slightly more complex with a decent roasted chocolate note and a kind of wheat toast finish on the tongue. Great temperature control on the stick with it remaining cool, well into the end of the 2/3. 

3/3 Combustion, burn and temperature remain constant. Flavors mellow out quick and I leave myself back to being unimpressed as I was with the 1/3. Smoked it for a few more minutes and called it quits.

What do you think of the Cabanas?  The couple I've smoked thus far have showed a lot of promise.  I remember cedar and almost black cherry notes.
