Beautiful day out so I pulled the training wheels off the little girl’s bike and taught her how to ride today. I held her seat for about the first 30 feet and then let go. Now she thinks she’s Lance Armstrong. Figured I’d smoke something nice. PUT DIC 06 Serie A from the 2019 Handicapped Summer Box Pass. Very good cigar, thank you to the person who put it in.

Smoke of the year for me, thanks to @jerrybrowne. These original Tainos, (this one from 2001) are pure class. Perfect burn, classic and elegant ERDM profile.

Nudies N1 from yesterday 

With roughly 60 days of rest, the opening and middle third were transitional, interesting, and enjoyable.  The final third was heavily tannic and could use some mellowing.  I could sense the Partagas influence and overall, a decent smoke. I am interested to see how these develop.

Gritty earth from beginning to end that reminded me of a Bolivar, a touch of stone fruit here and there, and roasted nut at times.

Sigmund, just wanted you to know I’m keeping you and all who are in the medical profession in my thoughts and there’s an entire country who, if they’re not, should be grateful that all of our doctors and nurses are doing what they do right now. I spent 10 years in the military and never totally understood when people would thank me for my service. I get it now. So, thank you for your service and stay safe out there.

Upmann No 2 BRE ABR 19 - Dark wrappers on these - photo doesn't really show that.  Started a little rough and woody but transitioned quickly to familiar Upmann toast and nuts.  Burned a little squirrely but not a big problem.  I think these are going to become really nice.

Your question intrigued me so I went and dug into the humidors. Looks like the one you referenced is BRE APR 18.  Below is the 18 on the right and the BRE APR 19 on the left with a gorgeous rosado wrapper. The 18 is darker and mottled. It was classic HU flavors in a light/med body. Perfect after a light lunch.  Neither of these was from 24:24.
