Lotusguy Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Followed up with another outstanding ERDM Coronas De Luxe. This one had a 2005 BD.
Nino Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Enjoying very sunny and mild autumm days, so called golden October - so just had a mildly plugged RyJ Corona in the sun and prepared another Canonazo for later. Pictured are the Prominentes and the Canonazos that I'm currently smoking.
ramon_cojones Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Good to hear you haven't given up on Bolivar altogether! I will smoke vintage bolivars without question!
MrDowse Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Upmann Half Corona. What a great little smoke!
Puros Y Vino Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Two cigar night in Paris. Started off with my last QdO Panatella. The first third was all almonds. The 2nd was leather, toasty tobacco, pepper and spice. The final third was walnuts and toasty tobacco. A very sweet smoke indeed. My 2nd cigar was an NC. An Undercrown Robusto. Very monotonous cigar. I'd call it an "Underwhelm”. Solid construction and burn and impeccable draw was all it had going for it.
Orion21 Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Ramon Allones Celestiales Finos Plugged head required me to snip more than I'd like, but once it opened up it was excellent. Love these!
Orion21 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Monte GE 2010 Mere words won't do this cigar justice. Every time I smoke one of these I smile inside knowing I stocked up for years to come :-) So much smoke, milk chocolate, milk, cream, cedar and vanilla.
bolivr Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 A Boli R C. Brilliant, unfortunately the second last one from a ten box of tubos
Wil Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Por Larranaga panetelas. First from a czar box. Really, really good!
dicko Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 H Upmann Sir Winston, recent production Courtesy of Allan Nice cigar but overfilled very tight
braveheart655 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 A so-so '12 Secretos right after its delivery. Could use some recovery time in the humidor.
Kosh Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 NC time: à Oliva Serie V Double Figurado. Benen in my humi for about 18 months. Pretty good. The worst edges are gone, and the cigar is smooth. It is, however, like most NCs IMHO, shallow and lacks complexity. But apart from that, it's a good smoke. Paired with some Saint-Saturnin and a splash of Havana Club.
Puros Y Vino Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 A solid BHK52. Full of dried nuts, green tea and some very savoury, rich tobacco. I managed to get a bit of a buzz. Not the best BHK in the lineup IMO, but a respectable 90 pointer.
Nino Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Great weather today, up to 24 C and still very pleasant in the evening to sit outside - we had friends over for dinner. Had a ... mildly put ... dubious Partagas 15 Anniv. - tasted like a generic street roll, the band was fresh and mint, tossed it half-way. Then a Canonazo with some good Bourbon - perfect. Life is a .... puzzle - sometimes the pieces break.
Orion21 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Everyone meet the Arturo Fuente Rosado Gran Reserva Take the band off and I would swear it is an Upmann or a fuller Hoyo. This NC is so un-NC like I was shocked at the flavors. If you can, you should pick up a few to sample. This is the 6.25 x 54 stick. I grabbed it on a whim and have been rewarded :-)
Croz71 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 H Upmann Sir Winston, recent production Courtesy of Allan Nice cigar but overfilled very tight Sorry to hear your one was tight too mate. That's 2 plugged and 2 very tight so far out of this box, fingers crossed Steve has better luck. I hope you and the Perth crew have a great weekend in Brissy, really wish I was coming
Orion21 Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Brilliant! I don't know about aging potential because I don't think it has enough meat on its bones to last 10 years. Tonight it was graceful, smooth, slightly sweet and loaded with Upmann goodness.
Charltonc Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Juan Lopez selecion no. 2 from 2011, simply amazing. I need to get anothe box.
CanuckSARTech Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Out hunting wild turkey right now. Enjoying an '06 Dip 2: Sent from my iPhone via Tapatalk.
hdryder Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Out hunting wild turkey right now. Enjoying an '06 Dip 2: Sent from my iPhone via Tapatalk. Smoking a cigar while hunting turkeys? Cant turkeys smell?
Ophidion Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Smoking a cigar while hunting turkeys? Cant turkeys smell? They smell terrible.
