An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

C&C ‘14 especiales. Fantastic start to the day C&C with a Monte 4 C&C time today with a Perla picked up from 24:24

Enjoying very sunny and mild autumm days, so called golden October - so just had a mildly plugged RyJ Corona in the sun and prepared another Canonazo for later.

Pictured are the Prominentes and the Canonazos that I'm currently smoking.

Two cigar night in Paris. Started off with my last QdO Panatella. The first third was all almonds. The 2nd was leather, toasty tobacco, pepper and spice. The final third was walnuts and toasty tobacco. A very sweet smoke indeed. My 2nd cigar was an NC. An Undercrown Robusto. Very monotonous cigar. I'd call it an "Underwhelm”. Solid construction and burn and impeccable draw was all it had going for it.

Monte GE 2010

Mere words won't do this cigar justice. Every time I smoke one of these I smile inside knowing I stocked up for years to come :-)

So much smoke, milk chocolate, milk, cream, cedar and vanilla.

NC time: à Oliva Serie V Double Figurado. Benen in my humi for about 18 months. Pretty good. The worst edges are gone, and the cigar is smooth. It is, however, like most NCs IMHO, shallow and lacks complexity. But apart from that, it's a good smoke. Paired with some Saint-Saturnin and a splash of Havana Club.

A solid BHK52. Full of dried nuts, green tea and some very savoury, rich tobacco. I managed to get a bit of a buzz. Not the best BHK in the lineup IMO, but a respectable 90 pointer.

Great weather today, up to 24 C and still very pleasant in the evening to sit outside - we had friends over for dinner.

Had a ... mildly put ... dubious Partagas 15 Anniv. - tasted like a generic street roll, the band was fresh and mint, tossed it half-way.

Then a Canonazo with some good Bourbon - perfect.

Life is a .... puzzle - sometimes the pieces break.

Everyone meet the Arturo Fuente Rosado Gran Reserva

Take the band off and I would swear it is an Upmann or a fuller Hoyo. This NC is so un-NC like I was shocked at the flavors. If you can, you should pick up a few to sample. This is the 6.25 x 54 stick. I grabbed it on a whim and have been rewarded :-)

Sorry to hear your one was tight too mate. That's 2 plugged and 2 very tight so far out of this box, fingers crossed Steve has better luck.

I hope you and the Perth crew have a great weekend in Brissy, really wish I was coming

Brilliant! I don't know about aging potential because I don't think it has enough meat on its bones to last 10 years. Tonight it was graceful, smooth, slightly sweet and loaded with Upmann goodness.
