Sometimes they just won't burn (actually.. the second third was quite good, but the first was an overpacked pretzel of tobacco and the last was so mutilated from perfect-drawing it just wouldn't burn). To the credit of the remaining sticks in the box, however: I did grab this particular stick because it was somewhat ugly and lumpy (to get it out of the way, thinking it might be a dud). If I continue to grab the ugliest stick in the box, one after the next, surely the last one will be a 93+ pointer. Cha-Ching! ?? It was between this 3 year old PLPC (TOS MAR-17) and a year and a half old HU Mag 50. The first half was very good. Smoked it very slow to let the flavors come out - paired with an Oban 14 year old. The first half the burn was perfect, the second half I couldn't keep it lit. Oh well, knew I should let them rest -- so, the box is put in the back of the Humidor and will wait at least another year before trying another one. I did get enough smooth flavor from the first half of the CC that it validated the purchase for what is still a young CC.
