Well, I've certainly being pleased with half the box almost consumed thus far! This was only the second cigar from this box that was very light on sourdough, in fact, it was almost undetectable! Instead, the spine of this cigar was pretty much a combination of wood and toasted tobacco combined with a core Diplomaticos capsicum or bell pepper and paprika spice. You'd agree, I'm sure, that if you are agreeable to enjoying a Diplomaticos cigar then these flavours would certainly resonate with you. The only caveat I have to add would be that the strong plumes of smoke necessitated a shorter puff and longer intervals in-between, so my cigar required a re-light a few times. It still didn't negate how good this cigar was, however! Oh my god....I am having pleasant memories of the one you kindly gave me to smoke when we were at your place celebrating your sons Birthday!! The paprika, capsicum and toasted tobacco flavour was phenomenal!!! Thanks again John 2 1
Popular Post Luca Posted March 16, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 16, 2020 H Upmann Mag 46 AUB MAR 13 Thank you @IanMcLean68 for this lovely smoke! I had the pleasure of smoking the same box code Mag 46 from Ian about 2 or so years ago. The difference is almost night and day compared to this one I smoked yesterday. N.B: The mag46 I smoked from Ian 2 years ago knocked me off my feet in regards to it's nicotine strength and power. This Mag 46 however smoked very differently. The power and nicotine had died down and had mellowed out which helped tie in all the great flavours of bread, toasted tobacco and nut. The construction was excellent and it paired well with the Springbank 15. This made my late (1am) night of work on the computer a fantastic night! Thanks so much Ian. I really enjoyed smoking this! Tempted to put a box down myself for 6+ years! Oh yes and I lit it with my Dunhill Rollagas Lighter! 26

Popular Post El Hoze Posted March 16, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 16, 2020 Given to me by @Elpresidente in Miami. Actually watched the review after. Tough cigar to get into. Not bad, but not good. And I’m a huge fan of HdM, to me the Epis are one of the most underrated cigars. However have never had a Hoyo DC that I had the patience to finish. 18

Guest Nekhyludov Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 The last of my MOB SEP 14 Hoyo DCs. This box ended up pretty damn good, but it was a pain in the @$$ along the way
Popular Post CptGoodTimes Posted March 17, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2020 Couple from the weekend. 18 Connie B was just ok. Had some bitter vegetal flavors that poked in and out ?. Which is odd, as I’ve never run across an Upmann to have that flavor. I’ll stick with the A team. As for the CoRo, what a box the MUO14 is ?,,,,must forget about it better to make,,,,,,,them,,,,,,,last. 27
Popular Post Taco Posted March 17, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2020 Partagas Short (UBM FEB 18) while on a late night conference call. Perfect size for a quick call. Question, do you guys peel the band off or slide it off? 16

Question, do you guys peel the band off or slide it off? if the band is loose, then slide it off. Most are tight and need to be peeled. Wait until you need to remove it though (1) as to avoid tearing the wrapper and ruining the smoke and (2) the heat from the cherry will usually loosen up the glue. With that being said, i have still made a mess of this judicious practice for reasons out of my control. 4
