Me ssed posting the past few nights but these are the past few nights. Tonight im going with the EML JUL 14 Diplomatico No. 2 paired with a little 1792 Bourbon. The past few nights had HU Mag50, San Cristobal El Morro and my personal favorite Bolivar Liberatador. Take care all how you ask have a wonderful rest of the weekend and enjoy the game tomorrow.

There was snow on the ground yesterday. Today 70F. Colorado is weird. Monte 4 on this lovely warm night.

After a successful day of paring down the honey-do list, which included fixing a running toilet and cleaning/re-screening my wife’s Costco-sized bird feeder (both shitty jobs, pun intended), I decided to go all-out, and fire up one of my 3 ERdM Kon Tikis. For the cost of admission, I expected great things. Happy to report I’m overwhelmed. Just finishing the first third, and it’s phenomenal. I absolutely loved the vibrant flavors of the Formosa Taino from the Christmas sampler, but this is several levels beyond that. Where the Tainos was an explosion of ERdM wet hay and honey, this is an elegant, refined version, with additional flavors of buttery cream, and vanilla. A truly memorable cigar. Cheers!

Super Bowl is today. I have 12 over for dinner and to watch the game. 
 

First smoke of the day actually started a bit before 11 pm last night. Ended a few minutes ago. 10 pound prime brisket after trimming. Every brisket is different and has a different cook. This one was odd. Hit 176 internal temp in two hours then stalled for 8 hours and finished up with another two. Early stall made me think it might finish super early so an unusual night waking up more than I would have liked to check temp. 
 

Probe tender and now resting for a few hours in a cooler (glad I didn’t requisition it as a second Coolidor). 
 

My first smoke of the day. 

Now it’s time for a C&C.

I love this. Many people I speak with tell me wings are the traditional food to eat for Super Bowl parties. While I agree on a traditional level, brisket has become my new go to on Super Bowl Sunday. Looks delicious....both the BPC and brisket.
