jrb5783 Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Very chocolately mag 48. I like the chocolate profile every once in a while
maverickdrinker Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 2001 La Flor de Cano Corona. Should have grabbed more when they were in production. Yes, a very nice cigar.
mss72 Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Short Hoyo Piramide, very good. Also enjoyed a Trini Robusto T
maverickdrinker Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 I have to say, Great photos and cigars everyone. Looking good.
Rushman Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Started evening with an Upmann 2 finished it with an A Garcia (my bro in law) corona with lots of age on it. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631721,-87.070696
ramon_cojones Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 I have no idea, on both counts. I lean towards more traditional Mexican food and even more towards food from the Yucatan region. I will have to ask around. --- I am here: http://maps.google.c...1722,-87.070690 Yes please do, should be fantastic. Finally cracked my 02 winnies and this is a damn good cigar. Was surprised at the progressive build up of strength and left a graham cracker taste in my mouth after each draw.

They are stellar, and no other vintage I've had is as good.
dicko Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 PLPC '11 buttery and caramel after only a few months rest. Still some rough edges (lots of tannin on my tongue) but this cab is going to have lots of hours of smoking heaven for me
Lotusguy Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Yesterday: HDM Epi 2 and Partagas D 4 - both very nice. This morning an absolutely FANTASTIC ERDM Lunch Club. I am so glad I was able to snag a box in Germany
Ophidion Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Excellent BCE gifted to me by Simon. Now to track some down...
ckearns Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 I'm taking full advantage of a rare window of time. My wife and wee man are down for a nap. Sitting in the yard with a Hamlet corona, cup of coffee, catching up on the world of FOH, and listening to the new Mumford album. Life is great right now.
Strada Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Excellent BCE gifted to me by Simon. Now to track some down... You smoked that one right off the bat man lol...Glad you enjoyed it. They are great!
Nino Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Pharmacy cigars tonight - an excellent, rich and creamy Bolivar ER Canada ( Thanks Chris ! ), a sneak preview of my newly re-designed site coming on-line in a few days, an extremely tasty vintage Partagas that I smoked to the nub. Life's good ...
Ophidion Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 You smoked that one right off the bat man lol...Glad you enjoyed it. They are great! I have no patience when a boli ce is put in front of me. I also ready the book cover to cover. Awesome read and the pictures are beautiful.
Lotusguy Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 A great Cohiba Siglo V BD pre-2002. Love the vitola and the grassiness.
ramon_cojones Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 02 Sir Winnies are in my list of top 5 cigars I've ever had. They are stellar, and no other vintage I've had is as good. Interesting, I was thinking about picking up a newer box later on and putting it down for a deep sleep.
Guest rob Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Interesting, I was thinking about picking up a newer box later on and putting it down for a deep sleep. I've got multiple boxes of 03, 08 and 10. In my humble opinion, they lack the 'fullness' of flavour of the 02. They are all very nice, but lack the Oomph of the 02. Unfortunately I have no 02.
ramon_cojones Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 That is terrible indeed. If you ever make it to LA or I make it out there I have one with your name on it.
Guest rob Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 That is terrible indeed. If you ever make it to LA or I make it out there I have one with your name on it. Cheers, mate. And likewise if you come ever come here. The Prez and I will be going through LAX in mid November, but unfortunately we won't be stopping over for any length of time. Having reflected on it though, I would still highly recommend sourcing a box or two to tuck away for a few years. Given the choice, I would still take one of the later Winnie's (especially 08's) over just about anything else. They definitely still float my boat just fine - but fall a fraction short of the stellar 02!
ramon_cojones Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 It's settled then, you guys will stop over for half a day and the herfing will commence. Perhaps the '12s will have potential who knows.
Puros Y Vino Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 An LGC MdO No 2 while walking around the Place du Tetre.
Strada Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 SCDLH Muralla. First one ever and first time ever and goooood! I got hooked on SCDLH after a trade with Tmac....too bad these a disc.
