Even right off the truck, it is a wonderful cigar. I am about 1/3 of the way down, and it is bursting with flavor. The size reminds me of Trini Robustly Extra, and I think the flavor is not far off. It is definitely classic Trinidad flavors, similar in many ways to the Vigia. It tastes very different than La Trovas to me, which I like very much in it’s own right, but always seemed like a hybrid Trinidad. It is also different to me than any of the Trinidad ELs, which also always tasted like a different kind of hybrid Trinidad. This cigar is no hybrid, it is 100% Trinidad. And that is something that makes me happy. Given some time in the humidor, this has the potential to become one of my favorite cigars. Elliot I second your thoughts on this. Although I never enjoyed a Robusto Extra, I've had my fair share of Trinidad. This is a full flavored stick. It's young and ROTT but holy cow it's good. To me it's fuller than the best Vigia I've ever smoked. I wonder when these will be stocked in Havana and a little easier to attain. Very much look forward to going deep on this cigar. The wrapper on mine is lighter than yours but flavor is crazy good. Cheers 22 1

Close! ? It's actually from the 2003 Reserva Seleccion Series which was a humidor containing 6 Coronas Especiales, 4 Esplendidos, 6 Media Coronas (38 rg x 142 mm or 5⅝ inches Panatelas), 8 Piramides and 6 Robustos, so 30 overall. The only reason I would even be aware of this is because Trevor (Leask, the founder of Cuban Cigar Website) gifted me a Reserva Piramides awhile ago and I've had it sitting in my humidor. I hope to review it this year. @Chucko8's cigar looks like the Coronas Especiales (38 rg x 152 mm or 6 inches) 1

I didn’t take a close enough look at the band. In light of that, it does look like the Coronas Especales, but in his FB pic, it looked fatter and shorter, like it could be the Siglo VI. I thought this pic got distorted, but maybe it was the FB pic that did. Or maybe I just was seeing what I wanted to see.? 1

Popular Post Islandboy Posted January 27, 2020 Popular Post Posted January 27, 2020 I noticed one cigar in my recent box suffered a cracked wrapper in transit, figured I better burn it sooner rather than later. Hardly factored in to an excellent stick...a testament to otherwise perfect construction. Burn got a little funky through the crack, but didn’t even require a touch up, went right back to a perfect burn exiting the crack. Very tasty with a bit of mongrel in the first half, smoothed out as it went on. Got some nice vanilla notes near the end. Somthin’ special for sure. 29

Popular Post RDB Posted January 27, 2020 Popular Post Posted January 27, 2020 SCDLH La Fuerza, LGR MAY 18. Great looking stick, with an intense, oily and slightly mottled wrapper. Rich sweet smoke, fruity and fragrant, just under medium body throughout, producing a crisp white ash. Made me think of the VR Famoso but shifted towards a lighter range of flavours. 28
Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted January 27, 2020 Popular Post Posted January 27, 2020 I really like this Punch La Isla. Now I am wishing I bought some in Cuba. SEP 17 Esplendido 30
Popular Post havanaclub Posted January 27, 2020 Popular Post Posted January 27, 2020 These cigars are very satisfying. If I could describe it, it’s like a fruity RyJ with the body and spice of a partagas. Maybe that sums up LGC. Just haven’t had many LGC to make that claim across the board. THEMISCHMAN Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 How did they compare?Age difference aside, I think they seemed pretty similar. The older one had a little bit more of a citrus sweetness/twang to it. I’m not really sure how else to describe it. I enjoyed both of them for sure. 1
