I love how they always try to use big words and completely mangle em. Like Chrissy; "I've been completely ostrified!" Um... huh? Or Paulie talking about his prostate cancer; "I'm afraid it may have f*ckin mistasticized!" ??? "Whatever happened to Gary Cooper? The strong, silent type?" "Well, Gary Cooper wasn't a teenaged boy." "He was at one time." ??? I'm dyin over here! Remember!.........Monte Open............ 1 2
Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted January 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted January 24, 2020 My first Esmiralda. Even right off the truck, it is a wonderful cigar. I am about 1/3 of the way down, and it is bursting with flavor. The size reminds me of Trini Robustly Extra, and I think the flavor is not far off. It is definitely classic Trinidad flavors, similar in many ways to the Vigia. It tastes very different than La Trovas to me, which I like very much in it’s own right, but always seemed like a hybrid Trinidad. It is also different to me than any of the Trinidad ELs, which also always tasted like a different kind of hybrid Trinidad. This cigar is no hybrid, it is 100% Trinidad. And that is something that makes me happy. Given some time in the humidor, this has the potential to become one of my favorite cigars. 31
Popular Post Astar20 Posted January 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted January 24, 2020 My first HDM DC and sheesh this is a special cigar! The awful things I'd do for a 50 cab to lay down! I need to go deep on these! 24
Popular Post Wookie Posted January 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted January 24, 2020 BRE 19 I think....24:24 the other day. Spectacular. I’m not a LE/RE guy but I took a chance. Med Colorado wrapper. As good as any Cohiba I’ve smoked...maybe give a nod to a couple BHK 55/56 I’ve tried, but maybe not. Will now rest these for a while but this to me is an amped up VI with the best of espy flavors mixed in. Worth &65? I used to collect expensive wine and now when I open a bottle I can’t get through it before it spoils...so I usually give them as gifts or open them on nice dinner parties for everyone to try. But I prefer great $25 bottle up and comers now. This stick I savored for 2.5 hours of bliss. 25

I liked my previous BB better - it had the button keyboard and a top half touchscreen, and was more intuitive. I hate this new one - no keyboard and clumsy interface. I'll have to give it up in a couple weeks anyway when I leave the ship, so no big deal. 2
Popular Post JohnS Posted January 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted January 24, 2020 Romeo y Julieta Churchills ASO Nov 2016 This Romeo y Julieta Churchills continued a fine recent tradition of delivering a quality outcome since at least 2016. Again, what I have loved about it is its consistent delivery of mild, yet complex flavours. Flavours such as chocolate or cocoa, toasted tobacco (at times), cherry (or berries/fruit), anise (or licorice sweetness), rosewater and turkish delight. At three years of age, this cigar yet again started off with a huge hit of cherry and turkish delight from the 'get-go'. In the middle third it picked up some anise sweetness and rosewater, in the last third there was stronger hints of cocoa/chocolate. This was similar to my last RyJ Churchill from this box smoked two months ago. One point of difference I found in comparison to other numerous RyJ Churchills I've smoked in the last 24 to 36 months was the slight presence of spice on the palate. It was simply so subtle, yet invigorating until the end. There was a consistent delivery of just enough to cause a tingle, which no doubt influenced me to nub it. As I said the last time I smoked a cigar from this box, it's very easy to understand why El Pres included a Romeo y Julieta Churchill in the 2019 Xmas Sampler for many of you to enjoy. It's not because Sir Winston Churchill helped to make this an iconic cigar, rather it's because lately it's been an excellent cigar. 21
Popular Post lovethehaze Posted January 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted January 24, 2020 Stolen Throne Robusto thanks @Thirds 41 minutes for first ash to drop. Cocoa, coffee, sweet toasted tobacco, taste that lingers on the pallet is almost brown sugar with paprika. Not a pepper bomb at all. Maybe medium. Draw and burn flawless. Really nice cigar. One of the best I have smoked all year if I am being honest and it’s a nc 93 all day ! 14 1
