Popular Post MigsG
MEG MAR 17 Regalias from @Hollywood Ninja Subty bread-y honey and baking spice, dry boxing made this a very smooth CC, unlike what @Hollywood Ninja experienced when he reviewed last month. Tacket I do agree with you that flavor midway is lacking. Wonder if these were previously dried out before you bought them. I'll run water down the wrapper of the next one right before smoking and see if that revives more flavor. Still a good smoke, it's mild medium though. Last couple of CCs Sunny Friday with an early '18 RASS. Friday evening with an '18 Siglo II Best cigar of the weekend (so far): 6am, 41F, with a really young '19 Robustos and coffee in a thermos

Popular Post LLC
RAE JUL 15 RACA. With the recent thread on the 2015 LE’s I decided to open a new box to give one a try. In general I’ve really liked this cigar but this one was just ok. Not going to pass judgment yet on if they still have life left in them. MAE JUL 14 Punch DC. It’s been a long time since I’ve had one from this box and it was very good. TOS DIC 15 HU Mag 56 to complete my check in on the 2015 LE’s. Last one of these I had was a plugged and pitched experience so this one aside from a wonky burn was well constructed. Overall very enjoyable. Popular Post Islandboy
Now this one’s worth crowing about. My post-football smoke. Number 12 from a LMB Jun 17 psp box. They’ve been consistently great from the get go, so I’ve been patiently savoring them, and wondering how much better they’d get. Well this one’s amazing! Just look at the oils seeping through. Just finishing the first third, it’s been a warm bread and barnyard base, with a maple syrup spiced background. And it’s already morphing on me. So delicious and complex. Aloha gang!

I have smoked a couple, and they have been very good. If you like San Cristobals, these regionals are very true to the marca. I think with time, they will get even better. 1

Popular Post JohnS
Ramón Allones Gigantes ABO Ene 19 The Ramon Allones Gigantes represents a Habanos vitola of which there are only four left. At 49 ring gauge x 194 millimetres in length (or 7.6 inches), this Double Corona requires a minimum of 2 hours to smoke. They always seem mild in strength to me when invariably I find the time to smoke one, they definitely are never medium to medium-full. However, together with the Partagas Lusitanias, Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona and Punch Double Corona, they represent a vitola that, unlike Lonsdales and Churchills, hasn't been depleted completely in the last 20 years or so. Still, this hasn't stopped recent rumours circulating that the Gigantes is on the way out. Maybe the Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro and Saint Luis Rey Double Corona's discontinuations has fueled such speculation? I certainly hope not, yet time will tell. This Gigantes started off really well. There was a beautiful balance of cocoa, light coffee and raisin flavours and this was the way it stayed pretty much throughout. If you want complexity, I'd suggest look elsewhere as I find the Gigantes has a core set of flavours which stay consistent all the way from beginning to end. One point of note though, there was a hint of a marshmallow texture to the draw on the palate which becomes more like a quality baking spice as this cigar ages long-term. Unlike my last Gigantes from this box code the construction on this was good but not perfect, Yes, the ash still dropped off in one inch lots each time, the burn was consistent, however; there were multiple instances of touch-ups required as the cigar would go out a number of times. Perhaps this is why it took 2¾ hours to smoke, which you'd surely agree, is quite a long time to smoke a cigar. I had no regrets though. I look forward to my next Gigantes a few months down the track.

Popular Post Chibearsv
2015 Siglo V. Creamy, slightly woody, shortbread, and I finally taste the citrus that @El Presidente references in Cohibas; orange in this case. No harshness at all. Perfect draw, perfect burn. This one is special. Wish I had more than 15 of them.
