It’s been a busy few weeks for me, but having this Olivia and a well-earned beer to cap off a great day. It was my last day of work until the new year and I just received confirmation of completing my first house purchase back home (although letting it out so won’t see it for a while!) and I fly off to Phuket tomorrow for Christmas. I may even have a whisky or two shortly!

Slaying a unicorn today. PL Magnifico that I acquired as a single. It’s a really good cigar and the band is gorgeous - but it confirms that simply no cigar is worth $100+ or whatever these go for now. It’s not any better than the PL Robusto Superior from yesterday - in fact, it tastes quite similar.

This experience reinforces my decision to stop collecting all those double-banded dollar gobblers.

HDM Du Depute LAS MAR 15, can’t keep my hands off this box! Flavors are so intense and mellow at the same time. I have a box of Du Prince ‘16, I haven’t touched, are they the same? I love SJ as well!

Packing up and heading to Orlando for a week over the Christmas break. Having a Trinidad Topes (not so) Limited Edition 2016 before I head off to bed. I’ve packed a few goodies for the road. I will be the only cigar smoker in the bunch so just picked out a few short sticks.

IT really surprised me. Smoked it to my knuckle and was still wanting more. So it was fantastic. maybe 30 days in the humidor.  I would consider these a lighter wrapper than the MC#4 i have been smoking from 2108 so i really got the Cocoa, Cream, Coffee and nuts on the start. The construction was excellent as well. its a serious box code and on the radar now. I look forward to the next one.

No but I am picking up a kind of pecan shell taste if that makes sense. Toasted tobacco and a slightly floral aroma. Very subtle light bodied smoke but lots of it.

A good petit robusto should definitely be a smoke-stack.  Sounds quite good!

That’s incredible! I’m loving the light wrapper HQ ‘18 monte 4’s I’ve been smoking through so that’s why I jumped on these. I’m pumped!
