mazolaman Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 A partagas de luxe, a simple tasty smoke, while listening to dogs howl in Romania.
nikesupremedunk Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 ^ 6 months was what it took to bring back the goodness that is the Rae. Mine hit a dumb periods between 3 and 9 months that just recently I hope so. Mine is sep 11 date code and I let it sit 2 weeks before smoking it..gona wait til spring I guess.
Kosh Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Rounding off an awesome saturday with a Bolivar Coronas Gigantes from -00. Man, this is one great cigar. I need to get a box or two and hide them away for a decade. Paired it with Spooks Ale and a splash of Camus. Life is good.
Nino Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Greetings Nino! I'm back in USA now just wanted to say again just what a gracious host you and Walter were during my visit and what a great time I had visiting with you both! Back to the issue at hand-- I think the HU 1/2 Corona may be my new best friend. This little baby has salvaged many 'bigger' disappointments and will probably be one of my goto winter smokes as well! Again-- many thanks! My/our pleasure, Wes !! You were most welcomed and a great guy to have around the lab with us, we enjoyed having you here, come back ! Yeah, the Half Corona is a great "get-to" cigar when you have neither the time nor the bigger cigar ... :-)
UpInSmoak Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Last night - a Boli PC from Aug 11 that has come back into its sick period. Harsh and full of ammonia. Ditched it half way thru. Today - ERDM CS from 09, decent but uninspiring, Hopefully tonight's smoke makes up for these two.
Lotusguy Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 This afternoon a Fonseca Amateur RE Francia. It was quite bitter and smelled musty - I blame the bad storage conditions in the store for that. Tonight a nice Punch Small Club RE Francia. No need to buy a box, though, IMO.
LLC Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 After a great USDA AAA Prime striploin with a 1999 Penfolds St. Henri I had a BPC with an Americano.
hainsworth Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Spent yesterday arvo relaxing with a mate. I was smoking a Hoyo de Monterrey Epi 2, while he had a Partagas SD4.
mbrody Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Last night a mid 11 HuP Connie 1 that was all shortbread. Very nice. An 08 Epi 2 has just been sparked...
maverickdrinker Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Was gifted this to smoke to celebrate my friend welcoming his third daughter to the family... 2011 Hamlet Flying Pig
Milan Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I've barely cut the cap off this cigar and it is already one of the best smokes I've had in months. I got two with the Monte special earlier in the year and just a few months in the desktop has done this a world of good. It is dripping with a refreshing sweetness and creamy chocolate. Beautiful!
Ophidion Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Smoking a 1966. Pretty good but I like the lancero/cce/sig IV better.
jrb5783 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 A great Pyf nov 05 lancero while Kevin is smoking a 1966
Rushman Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 An ERDM Choix Sup and an Epi 2 --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631729,-87.070656
ramon_cojones Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 A plp at a bar with some lag 16 then some black label.
DougB Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Yesterday- an 06 Connie 1, then a killer '10 BCE and finally a Half Corona
Paul3 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Woke up a bit earlier than normal to find a bright, sunny Sunday morning waiting for me. I decided that a JLS No. 2 from an 07 box would be a perfect way to start off what looks to be a great day. Flavors of dark coffee and toasted nuts put this cigar right on the money. Cheers
kevinfj Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Tossed this. (Didn't see the big crack in the middle. Damn!) This was next. Awesome! Ian Poulter playing Ryder Cup in background.........
Puros Y Vino Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 MGE this evening. Cocoa, chocolate. Lots of strength in this stick that I have never come across before. Some subtle sweet notes on the first half. Loads of smoke.
