ramon_cojones Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Aha your avoidance of the subject means I'm right!
maverickdrinker Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Aha your avoidance of the subject means I'm right! LOL!!!! I do take a nice long haul and take pictures. The good thing is that the phone delays the snap so it gives time for the smoke to swirl. Not avoiding the question. Wouldn't say that it is quick snap though....
cckandb24 Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Aged Connie 1 fresh from the mail. Disappointing
DougB Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Yesterday a couple of PLP's and then my last '06 Mag 46. Outstanding cigar. Wish I had 2 cabs of them. Really, really excellent.
DougB Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 So far today- 6:00 a.m.- '06 Connie 1- Finally a great one out of the cab of a lot of disappointing ones. This one was truly great. Then an Upmann 09 LE while watching the Ryder Cup. Headed to a wedding. Bringing a few PLP's. Love 'em.
ramon_cojones Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Hey Doug how many plugged plps do you usually get per box? I've had to toss 3 out of 8 so far.
DougB Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Hey Doug how many plugged plps do you usually get per box? I've had to toss 3 out of 8 so far. Quite a few- 6 or so- from SAR DIC '11 box and not one plugged yet from BUA DIC '11
beamer Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Partagas 898 from 2008. Halfway through. Absolutely dynamite. The first two from the box were a touch tight. Draw on this guy is perfect. Still has a little twang to it. I like checking on these every couple of months.
ramon_cojones Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Quite a few- 6 or so- from SAR DIC '11 box and not one plugged yet from BUA DIC '11 Thank you sir.
cckandb24 Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I have an 11 box of plp and not 1 plugged one yet out of 7 or 8 I've smoked. New box on the way, I'm in love with them also. Best small cigar for the money.
Puros Y Vino Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Bolivar Short Bolivar over lunch. Asia Pacific RE 2008. Surprisingly good. Very smooth, some citrus notes which I find in the Bolivars now and then.
ramon_cojones Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I've had wild variances in the plps and while I agree they're cheap I may forego them for something a little more consistent albeit expensive.
phoenix Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Anutha stunning CCE. Can't seem to find a bad one.
phoenix Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Man I am absolutely diggin your bar! You got some high quality H20's!!!
Lotusguy Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Tonight the only smokable QdO Robusto Embajador RE Francia that I could find at the Davidoff store in Monaco. The rest was covered in mold like much of their stock - pathetic! Didn't take notes for a full review but I enjoyed it a lot. Very similar to a rather fresh QdO Corona, which is the exact reason I would rather pick up two boxes of those than one of these
maverickdrinker Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 09 Cohiba Siglo IV and a 09 Santos Robusto custom roll. Lovely evening and conversation tonight....
Ophidion Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Gift from Riaz at the Toronto herf (still haven't smoked through my bring backs). Currently shooting the breeze with Jace at his house in PA.
nikesupremedunk Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Rather disappointing first RAE. I know some hate it and some love it, this one didn't really do much for me. Muted flavors, kind of tasted like gasoline and ammonia. Hopefully letting them sit for 6 months will do the trick.
Ophidion Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 ^ 6 months was what it took to bring back the goodness that is the Rae. Mine hit a dumb periods between 3 and 9 months that just recently ended. 07 qdo corona. Great morning smoke.
Nino Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 A RyJ Nr 2 that was so bad I tossed it quickly and had a H.Upm. Half Corona instead - getting cool on the terrace by now and only short cigars were in order ...
phoenix Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 A RyJ Nr 2 that was so bad I tossed it quickly and had a H.Upm. Half Corona instead - getting cool on the terrace by now and only short cigars were in order ... Greetings Nino! I'm back in USA now just wanted to say again just what a gracious host you and Walter were during my visit and what a great time I had visiting with you both! Back to the issue at hand-- I think the HU 1/2 Corona may be my new best friend. This little baby has salvaged many 'bigger' disappointments and will probably be one of my goto winter smokes as well! Again-- many thanks!
