Popular Post BoliDan
Only 23F (-5C) tonight. Not too shabby. I'll have a 2018 monte 4. My favorite offering from the marca, when they are on.

With the 5 year pre-aging + 8/9 years, does it still bring the rich power that I’ve tasted in young versions? I haven’t tried one with an older box date and wondering what to expect from it. As my advisor, do I smoke them young or set them back for best results? Thank you. Okay. I do like them young with rich power and heavy flavoured smoke. That said . These have been in perfect hybernation. Now they are smooth as a kiss . Silky smooth smoke , beautifully ballanced flavours , sweet chocolate biscuit , mid bodied . I have worked my way through a box over the last few months. Easily the best cigars I have smoked this year. All the best to you 2

Popular Post bigbwalls
Trinidad Vigia - April 18 Beautiful morning here in north PA. Decided to break out a Vigia from my consistently delicious April 2018 box. I normally take my perfecdraw with me out to the garage when I’m lighting up a Cuban - not necessary when I grab one of these Trinidads. A small pull releases a cloud of smoke. Was this rolled by My Father Cigar?! Honey, tea, cream, sea salt and white pepper. Amazing flavor in these. I wish I could clone these and smoke them the rest of my life.

Popular Post Lotusguy
One of my last three LGC Imnesos - shame they discontinued this LCDH release. AFAIK that’s the only one of the post-2008 LCDH releases they stopped making after a few years.

Popular Post BoliDan
Funny geography I live in. I bet all this snow is melted and you'll see green grass in 4 days. Hoyo epi 2 paired with laphroaig quarter cask. Divine. I have been lucky with clearance epi 2s recently. Tight ash, big flavor. Wood, creamed coffee, touch of leather and sweet spice. Love em.

Popular Post BlueRidgeFly
My first Montecristo No. 2. Picked up a couple at the LCDH in Amsterdam in June. Didn't realize, based on the older band, that these are probably a few years old, maybe even seven years old...? Way milder than I had hoped, kinda boring, not really turning into anything interesting until the last third. Good but not great. Oh well. I have a quarter box via 24:24 to compare from 2019 (?), a little darker and, hopefully, a little more to them.
Popular Post Markspring1978
My second one of these. Both have been awesome...like 90+ awesome. I feel bad for the guys who have had bad ones.

That band was using circa 2006-2012, with the newest band with the gold being used from 2013 on
