I got 2 boxes OPS MAY17 from our host. This one was clearance & the other is PSP which I intend to age. Flavors was there....Smooth with creamy notes to begin. A lil sour notes..draw was good. Med bodied ...Cedary, woody, nutty, touch of spice & got hints of citrus on/off from start to finish. Ended with med-full.

Young BRC from our host’s Monday action a month or so ago. Just couldn’t help myself. 
 

while fresh no mongrel at all. Very pleasant and subtle first third just starting to build at the start of the second third. Aftertaste is particularly nice and is slowing me down a bit. 
 

Looking forward to working my way through the two boxes I picked up to see how they evolve. And ya know what, even if they don’t change much I’ll still be tickled to smoke em all.

Morning RASS CLR EOS DIC 18 not ready. Still getting overly bitter notes on this box. It’s been frustrating. Immediately switch to MC#5. These have been consistently solid. 

 

Late night push at work getting product out the door. Montecristo  No.2 ULA OCT 14. It’s bone dry here and fires raging tonight. Hope peoples up north and first responders stay safe. I have not seen ash this white before. Cocoa, baking spices, slight saltiness, white pepper, touch of cream. Perfect construction and burn. I wish they were all like this. Cheers

Today a Punch Punch, from my magic UTE SEP 16 box: every one has been excellent. Sweet and exotic, perfect draw and burn. A bit under medium body and strength. Funny sort of orangey / tan claro colour, but looks are not everything.

These are coming around, getting nice sweet woody notes, leather with a creamy finish. I think in a few more years this will really stand out.

Trinidad Shorts

This was quite a bit better than I had remembered it the last time I smoked this vitola around six or seven months ago. It had very simple flavours of coffee, dough and tobacco, much like a Trinidad cigar only more intense and with minimal butter flavours.

cherry bomb ? with toasted tobacco and full. Way over medium to me was a strong cigar. Lasted 45 and had a little more time but overpowering strength for me and I like em strong. Pleasant cigar; nice flavors, draw perfect and good burn. 
i don’t  think I’m gonna run and buy a box but would def smoke one of it was there. Really good cherry and sweet bursts. Thanks again

A long needed day off while in Asia. Made it a 2 cigar day.  2014 PCC Aged Monte No 2 in the morning. It was a lovely looking specimen with an aroma that I would describe as a creamy hot chocolate. I had high hopes, but was seriously underwhelmed. The whole smoke had an underlying ashy taste to it. Not unsmokable, but certainly detracted from the experience.

Decided to follow that up with a Punch 898 after lunch. Glad I did, as it is an absolutely brilliant smoke.
