Popular Post RDB Posted August 24, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 24, 2019 Well, goddamn. Lancero UAO DIC 18. I had convinced myself it was a mistake to smoke one so young, but I had the time, and a fine mild evening, and I just could not resist. I only bought the box yesterday; so much for my will power. It has been tremendous. Sweet milk coffee early on, with a real caramel, dark honey creaminess. Slowly the sweetness is overtaken by grassy notes building to sappy cedar, with the coffee darkening in roast. Firmish draw but nothing to worry about, and a lovely even ash. In the last third the burn became a little reluctant, but I never touched it up once. With about 2 1/2 inches to go, after 90 minutes of the greatest smoking pleasure, it turned a little bitter and I have set it down. Super classy. I’m ruined. 30

Popular Post wineguy Posted August 24, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 24, 2019 Dip 2 LGR JUN 17. Started off fine then developed a large split in the wrapper in the middle but smoked slowly and it turned out fine. A few touch ups. I am guessing our western PA humidity played a role although it is only low 70s here today, 24
Popular Post Ender1553 Posted August 24, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 24, 2019 Nice day grilling with the neighbors, having a nice #5. Could use being put back for another 6 months, but don't have anything else on deck. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk 22

Popular Post Baccy Posted August 25, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 25, 2019 MAY 18 PSP #4 ...not bad for my first monte 4, excellent flavor/aroma, and had some real kick strength wise! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk 25
Popular Post Thirds Posted August 25, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 25, 2019 RyJ Ex4 TES MAR 17 Nice smoke. It was woodsy and it even had a lemon zest flavor at the beginning. Moved in to the RyJ profile with that subtle cherry sweetness. Very smooth. MdO 4 ETP DIC 15 Almond, Woody, and a delicious light fruit middle third. Thanks to @JohnS for the instructions to smoke slowly. It allowed the doughy/fruity middle to shine. This was the ugliest stick in the box and was very pleased with my first MdO experience 23 1

Enjoyed whilst imbibing half a bottle of Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin 2018. I'm rather pissed whilst trying to type this up. So many corrections ,,,, Great combination ... I never released how difficult it was to type an entry into FOH'ers daily smoke whilst pissed off my scone. What a fantastic smoke !!! 98/100. The blister on my thumb and the severe case of hiccups I have now are testament to this great smoke,, About 4 years of age and these are just superb now! So smooth. No edges, Rich and flavourful from start to finish. Definitely see the marriage of Montecristo and Partagas flavours along with some nuttiness that reminds me very much of cashews and walnuts. I also saw some flavours in the final third that reminded me of a good Diplomaticos No.4, an amber tree resin spicy vegetal type of flavour. Fantastic smoke! Great post Ian! Glad you enjoyed it! We should smoke another with the Sydney crew next time we meet up! 3
