Popular Post Bucky McSwensen Posted August 6, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 6, 2019 Terrible photo. First time smoking a plmc. 2018 box, been avoiding since I heard they needed age, but recently read they are fine young. Fir3d one off with a buddy for a weeknight birthday nightcap. Good lord. This is a new favorite. Into my regular rotation for you! Best value smoke I've ever had (huhc has been dethroned). 18
Popular Post RDB Posted August 6, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 6, 2019 RyJ Churchill, SMA JUN 18 and PSP grade from our host. Here’s the thing: these will be amazing in a few years’ time. It’s rich and oily and good. But right now a lesser grade would smoke even better at the same age. Love the learning curve. 18
Popular Post JohnS Posted August 6, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 6, 2019 Cohiba Coronas Especiales (circa 2006 thanks @Trevor2118!) I'd like to thank @Trevor2118 again for gifting me this aged Cohiba Coronas Especiales. I was genuinely surprised at how much flavour and 'punch' this had for its age. After smoking it I felt that it had 'legs' easily for another 5 years, if you can believe that! The cigar had those typical Cohiba flavours one associates with the brand such as mocha milk coffee, light hay, honey and vanilla. There was a touch of spice which I noticed more through the retrohale. One flavour that was missing that you'd might expect from a cigar of this ilk was butter or cream but no matter, the cigar was quite tasty, I nubbed it down as far as it could go with my fingers! One other interesting matter to bring up in relation to this vitola is the pig-tail. I had no issue clipping it with my thumbnail (and the draw was fine) but funnily enough I enjoyed this with @Luca and @Trevor2118 and both experienced a slightly tight draw on theirs. The reason? The leaves were bunched a little too tightly around the pig-tail cap which they both resolved by cutting further down the head of the cigar. 21 2

Considering all being equal in age, Construction, quality... which is your preference: CCE or the CoLa? Is this vitola a shorter version or a different blend all together? 1

Is this vitola a shorter version or a different blend all together? 100% definitely the Lanceros. Like the Trinidad Fundadores and Montecristo Especial, that 38 ring gauge x 192 mm length (or 7 and a half inches approx) tends to make the cigar flavours slightly milder in comparison to their Laguito No. 2 shorter cousins (i.e. the Cohiba Coronas Especiales and Montecristo Especiales No.2) of a similar age, and this is my preference. To my taste, it's a similar blend but variance occurs due to the length. 2 2

Popular Post Thirds Posted August 7, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 7, 2019 ARS NOV 18 courtesy of @MigsG Thank you, my friend. Fantastic smoke at such a young age. At times it showed pure brilliance. I’ll procure a box of these and try to forget about them for a bit. Coming up on 2 hours of pure relaxation. 28 1

Popular Post jtfrizzy Posted August 7, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 7, 2019 TOR SEP 15 RyJ Belicosos paired with a Dog Fish Head 90 min IPA also a couple pecan tassies I happily found in my kitchen after work. Popular Post MigsG Posted August 7, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 7, 2019 A big shout out to @kevpro for this very tasty RyJ Mille Fleurs tonight, UEB JUN 18. Rested a month, then dry boxed over 2 weeks. Premium taste of RyJ, immediate gratification. Cherry over milk chocolate all the way through. Like a baby Exhibicion #4. Smoked slowly, just brilliant. My buddy had this BPC I brought, ETP MAR 17. Said it was rich and creamy, full of spice, earth, cocoa and coffee. A great night for both of us. 26

Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted August 7, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 7, 2019 Smoking a custom roll this morning. Not sure who rolled it. Maybe @ElJavi76 can tell me, as he is the one who gave it to me. (Thanks Bro!) It’s a nice cigar. I have never really been into custom rolls in general, but he gave me one or two that knocked my socks off. I wouldn’t call this one “great”, but it is good, and has a nice flavor. I am enjoying it. Stuck in the garage, smoking a Siglo VI on this rainy day. 26
