Popular Post bigbwalls Posted July 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 29, 2019 Juan Lopez No. 2 - Jan 18 This has been a phenomenal box. Each cigar has burnt and drawn beautifully. I’ve tried to resist them so I can see what some age does to them but it’s been tough - they’re too good now. 24
Popular Post wineguy Posted July 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 29, 2019 Fundy SLE SEP 16. Construction and draw perfect and smoking great. Still have about 3/4 of this box left. 27

Popular Post LLC Posted July 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 29, 2019 Custom cigar rolled by Hamlet from a batch I got from him in Havana a number of years ago. Maybe the best cigar I’ve had this year. Almost perfect in every way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 34

Popular Post pbibby Posted July 30, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 30, 2019 From the "famous" PLM May 11 code. Very good. Shortbread. Toasted tobacco. Slight spice. I'm no expert but I think this has legs still. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 23
Popular Post encephalization Posted July 30, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 30, 2019 I have a week of starting the day with Mr. Ramon behind me. Some of them were quite disappointing.. Especially the Canadian ones. The RASS was a MUR MAR13, very good. The Andean wasn't bad and the H&F was probably the best Ramon RE I've smoked. Glad I finally got to try it, its been on my list for a couple of years now.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk 27
Popular Post Thirds Posted July 30, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 30, 2019 OBM APR 17 Parti Super Partagas For a cheap smoke this is definitely cheerful. I get lightly sweetened coffee and tobacco. The burn has been perfect and the sweetness gradually builds. Thanks @MigsG for introducing me to it. This one is exceeding expectations. 22

Popular Post TTP21 Posted July 30, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 30, 2019 Second one from a 6 pack. First was pretty one dimensional but was structurally sound. This one was a fight to keep lit, but the flavors were good. Here's hoping 3 through 6 are the ideal blend of the 2 experiences thus far. 18

Subcomandante Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 @Hollywood Ninja mine should be here tomorrow and I see this. Might have to fire one off quick. Really looking forward to it after so many recommendations.

99call Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 14 hours ago, JohnS said: I think that if you enjoy that chocolate and raisin-sweetness profile, which is indicative of Vegas Robaina less than 3 years, then enjoy them younger. For me personally, I wouldn't want to go too much past the 5 year mark with chocolate or cocoa-dominate marcas as a rule (but of course there are exceptions such as the Montecristo Especial and Especiales No.2). I've had one or two more Famosos from this box since then and they've all had that peculiar and unique 'pure tobacco' or grassiness that @99call has alluded to in his posts on our forum from time-to-time, and I've come to become accustomed to it and favour it, yet I don't mind these younger with more chocolate either. Like @JohnS stated. I've also come to favour it. I found it quite a strange thing to get my head around, i.e this simple rich high quality tobacco flavour. I liken it to be a bit like going fishing, you don't catch anything and feel a bit sorry for yourself, but then you look up, realise you've been enjoying a fabulous vista, and the company of great friends etc. Defintely one of those cigars, that the less you "go after it" the more you enjoy it. Haha Bruce says it better than I ever could 1 1

Popular Post Astar20 Posted July 30, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 30, 2019 Straight up cinnamon cocoa cream and some sweet cedar this monte especial #2 from 2016 thanks to @mwaller And interesting enough lately all my cigars have had a bright white ash Shadow Kingby AJ Fernández I'm a huge AJ fan consistently good smokes. Leather coffee and very dark cocoa Finally got some down time at work to enjoy this cigar. 26
Hollywood Ninja Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 @Subcomandante, I pretty much smoked mine ROTT and it was pretty spectacular. I think you're going to love 'em. Little 45 minute flavor bombs they are.
Popular Post RDB Posted July 30, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 30, 2019 Another ‘no chocolate’ Monte Media Corona RAU JUL 16. Quick park smoke in damp and blustery London. They are growing on me, but the Petit Edmundo is a miles better cigar. 24
