I had a plug to deal with on this one so the burn and smoke volume was not on par with first several from this PSP box. Flavor was stronger than usual and a bit out of balance. Still one of my favorite minutos. 1
Popular Post Wookie Posted July 28, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 28, 2019 Too lazy to write an outcast review, but I vouch for this 2015 Regio 2017 Vigia...these have been consistent performers....Trinidad complexity and perfect construction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 24

Popular Post FHFinster Posted July 28, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 28, 2019 ‘17, They are starting to shine Less than 2yrs? Fanstastic. Took 4.5years for these guys to go from painfully strong to delicious. And of course, that’s my last one. Got some ‘14 No1 that I haven’t touched in a while. Fingers crossed!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 19
Popular Post Kaptain Karl Posted July 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 29, 2019 Grabbed this jul ‘17 siglo III from a recent box pass and it didn’t disappoint! It began with the hay/grassiness and morphed into rich honeyed cream heaven in the last 2/3rds. The wrapper was a discolored Colorado wrapper but it didn’t seem to affect the flavor much. A 92 pointer for me and will definitely pick up a box in the next year! 23
Popular Post THEMISCHMAN Posted July 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 29, 2019 Yesterday. A well rested Añejo Shark from 2014 while smoking some ribs for dinner. I’m not a big Fuente guy but this was good. Today. ESL NOV 18 Monte No. 1. Perfect burn but a lousy draw. Finally, got a piece of tobacco out of it about halfway through and the draw improved a little. Very grassy with a slight bit of coffee. Gonna leave the rest alone for a while. 23

Popular Post Chucko8 Posted July 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 29, 2019 Partagas Lonsdale SUA OCT 00 Burn and draw was fantastic. Flavour from the get go had some light paprika spice. This didn't last long and settled to smooth creaminess that left the mouth feeling like an oily coating. Something similar to the feeling oily peanut skins can leave but without the peanut flavour. Stayed very much this dimension until late in the final third, at which point it was almost cardboard like. 16

Popular Post inter4alia Posted July 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 29, 2019 Enjoyed this flavor bomb yesterday courtesy of @Buck14. Completely different flavor profile from regular production Quai D'orsay. It was outstanding. 24
Popular Post CampDelta369 Posted July 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 29, 2019 Morning PLPC MAR 17 from a PSP CAB. Admittedly the PL is not the prettiest of cigars but.... the flavors to die for. I selected this by weight so Construction and draw are perfect. Smoking great right now at 92/100 I thinks. She probably will make me cry in a couple more years. Cheers 22
Popular Post FireMedic Posted July 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 29, 2019 Went to the humidor and decided to go with something a little different today. Apparently it's pretty rare(who really knows) I've never seen it before, but pretty flavorful stick, bit of clove at the beginning. Construction decent, draw perfect. Rather enjoyable so far 18

I have had fantastic Famosos that were a year-2 years aged, that displayed that dark chocolate profile. I think that if you enjoy that chocolate and raisin-sweetness profile, which is indicative of Vegas Robaina less than 3 years, then enjoy them younger. For me personally, I wouldn't want to go too much past the 5 year mark with chocolate or cocoa-dominate marcas as a rule (but of course there are exceptions such as the Montecristo Especial and Especiales No.2). I've had one or two more Famosos from this box since then and they've all had that peculiar and unique 'pure tobacco' or grassiness that @99call has alluded to in his posts on our forum from time-to-time, and I've come to become accustomed to it and favour it, yet I don't mind these younger with more chocolate either. 3 1
Popular Post JohnS Posted July 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 29, 2019 Diplomáticos No.2 EML Ago 2014 You may have heard the story, which some hold to contention, that the Diplomaticos marca was introduced post-revolution in the mid-1960's as a cheaper alternative to the Montecristo marca for the French market. Whether this is true or not, one thing I do know is that the vitolas that came out in the Diplomaticos line resembled the Montecristo No's 1 to 5 in their dimensions, but whereas those original Montecristo vitolas are still in production, unfortunately, only the Piramide Diplomaticos No.2 remains with us today. I find the Diplomaticos No.2 can be either a little sweet in its cinnamon, nutmeg and wood expression or alternatively, it can be a little savoury when it's more sourdough, paprika spice and capsicum (or bell pepper). I've enjoyed a few La Corona TOS/LGR Diplomaticos No.2's in the last few years and so recently I felt it was time to call down my box from my OLH of these EML Ago 14 Diplomaticos No.2's to compare how these cigars are when a little older. This Diplomaticos No.2 was full of flavour, especially sourdough. The difference with the age of the cigar lay in the fact, that after almost 5 years, it was mild and so the paprika spice and capsicum which intertwined with that core sourdough didn't overpower my palate. In fact, it was very pleasant to draw down on this cigar and nub it to its conclusion. Coupled with the excellent construction that was evident, I very much look forward to next cigar from this box and soon! 29 1
