Popular Post CampDelta369
After Dinner BBF. First one that was under-filled I’ve had. Still burning good enough. A lot of spice on this oily wrapper. Morning El Principe. All good. LGR DIC 17 PSP of 24:24. This box has been solid. Big flavors, some spice, and a long finish. Cheers

Popular Post encephalization
Just came back from a five day trip to the Colorado mountains. I am going to light up another one at some point in the next 60 days to see how a little more acclimatization does on these. Right now, I like the San Juan best, then Especial, then Rio Seco. But, give the Rio Secos a couple years, and they could be something really special. There is potential there. Hope that it will be great as Partagas Serie E No 2! Thanks for sharing info about Rio Seco!
Popular Post Ry27
Notes of toasted almonds and dark coffee, big fan of these lately. Second of these, extremely one dimensional. Toasted tobacco flavor. Not many Upman flavors coming through this. Smooth but bland. Missing the shortbread Upman usually offers
havanaclub
Outside on the patio with my first HdM Le Hoyo de Rio Seco. I didn't think it was that much larger in diameter than the San Juan initially, now lit up, yeah, it's bigger. Got my first box of these about 6 weeks ago, let them sit in my coolidor acclimating. Time to light one up. This is a nice blend, some cocoa, some cream, and right now a little mongrel, telling me they are quite young and need some time. Enjoyable smoke now, give them a few years, and I think these will be quite the cigar. Mine are on the way, very excited. How do they compare to the SAN Juan as you are an expert with those lol. Haven’t had either Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Popular Post JohnS
La Puntilla Custom (thanks @El Presidente) The previous La Puntilla custom I had was both savoury and creamy, reminding me of an aged H.Upmann Connoisseur No.1. Rob has mentioned that the blend was aimed with a little Montecristo cocoa, a little Por Larranaga sweetness and nut and tonight, after being gifted this cigar by him (thank you kindly El Pres) he further mentioned that the creaminess in this is meant to peak around the 3-year mark. What a wonderful vitola this is at 40 ring gauge x 160 mm or 6¼ inches in length. This cigar was not as nutty or savoury as the La Puntilla I sampled six months ago. Rather, it was creamy all the way, with some cinnamon spice here and there to add to its superlative qualities. This custom cigar is a 'must-have' for those of you who are committed Habanos enthusiasts. If you get the opportunity to sample it in the future I know you'll be glad you did!

Popular Post El Hoze
BHK 56, have had a box and have never smoked one. Heard El Pres say the other day he hated the 56 so figured I’d try one. Not my favorite RG but great cigar off the bat I’d say. Then again, what do I know!

Popular Post Deeg
Rainy Friday morning C&C with a ULA JUL 14 BPC. Wrapper feels like my prewar Albert Micheal leather jacket. Loving the subtleties of a well-aged BPC - some tropical notes (banana?) in the first third. Yeasty bread, leather, cinnamon, clove. a bit of cedar. My only hitch with this box is the burn has been wonky on all 3 I've smoked - wrapper is stunning but maybe on the thicker side.
