bunburyist
The Glorioso was an amazing cigar. Loved it...spades better than the new Delicioso for 2010 made for Cuba. I am looking into buying a box of the Gloriosos. Honestly the best LGC I've smoked. I'll see if I can pick some up next time I'm in London, perhaps split a box
Kangaroo495
JLP Brevas. Fairly good for the price, magnificent maduro wrapper, but a slight dirty taste in the second half.
Stalebread
On Monday had a Romeo Y Julieta Churchill en tubo. Don't know the date but I bought it in '06. The nutty flavor was distinct from the beginning. Great up to the half-way point, then it went south on me and took on that heavy, unpleasant tar flavor. Or maybe it was wet ashes. Anyway, there I stopped.

thechenman
Last night I smoked a Bolvar Gold Medal. Honestly, I didn't have high hopes as I have not been a big fan of Bolivars. I have to say that I have never enjoyed a Bolivar as much as I did this cigar. Absolutely loved it. IMHO the best of this marca. Going to have to stock up on these. It seemed so different from the rest of the line. Lighter, less earthy, more sweet. A slight toastiness to it. Good tobacco flavors. Not super complex, but tasty nonetheless. Highly recommend it. mbrody
07 ERDM Lunch Club Tight as a "insert here." Massaged it and at least was able to finish it, but a non stellar performance. Flavors, when it passed smoke, were nice. Construction issues hold this back to a 78. Chenman, I have to revisit my GM's, but I can tell you that some 07/08 Boli PC/CJ have fit your description. MIKA27
Just enjoyed a Monte D LE 2005. Fantastic mix of chocolate, cream and salt. The cap totally spun me out, I used a bullet punch and found it had 4 layers! Is that a one off or anyone else come accross this as the last 5 of the same had 3. thechenman
Last after another late night of work I took a seat on my patio and fired up an Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial EL 2004 (KMM DIC 04). At first I didn't see what the big deal was. I asked myself...this is the cigar that launded the HdM Epicure Especial standard production? The first third wasn't bad...very woody, nothing special. However, the second third the body and flavors picked up. Still woody with a touch of sweetness on the back of the tongue. Deeper flavors. By the final third, I was really digging this cigar. Nubbed it, it was literally that good.
cgarner
Tried another one of my 09 RASS. 3rd one out of a box of 25. The first two were almost throw downs, but I have to say if the rest of the box is anything like the one I tried yesterday the box will be damn good. A little extra time will do them good. However I am a bit disappointed in how loose the draw is. These things are as loose as the community bike.
Rogers72
Siglo IV tonight from feb 08. Fantasticly schizophrenic. Evolving by the minute. Going great with 12yr George Dickel. Couldn't be a more lovely night in SC.

fattires
Completely enchanted by my very last unvarnished 898. My favorite of all cigars I've tried by a pretty good margin. Complex blend of spices and woody, leathery, thick chewy smoke goodness. I will miss you, my friend.
