Popular Post Wookie
Not sure if there are beer aficionados on this forum....I’m not. But near our place in Maine is a famous beer place called Ebenezers. Had lunch there after starting 2 under and finishing with a 79...mild disaster Finished with a Trova 2018.... my first box of these has been a bit mild compared to to the resplendent Vigias. Anyone else had same experience? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Popular Post JohnS
Trinidad Vigia SLE Oct 2016 I had a Trinidad Vigia for the first time last week so I decided to smoke another soon after to compare notes. This had a strong butter flavour again, combined with a wonderful hay/barnyard on the cold draw and coffee, dough and hay (with the butter texture) throughout. The only thing that let this cigar down was the bunched leaves in the middle which effected the wrapper burn from drawing down squarely. I had to touch it up a few times but it was fine by the end. In conclusion, yes, this is a fine addition to the Trinidad marca, but for me the 54 ring gauge is an 'acquired' taste that will take some getting used to, especially as I have had so many Reyes and Fundadores over the years!
Popular Post Thirds
Dip 2. This thing is billowing smoke. Initially it was straight wood but my how it transitioned to a sweet, spicy, woody bit of deliciousness. If the next 2/3 go this way, count me in on the Dip2 fanwagon. That 1/3 was a flavor party. Edit: An hour in and 2/3 gone This was a very consistent, entertaining cigar. The retrohale in this final third lets my nose know it means business but otherwise, no mood swings and self-correcting burn. I had one touch up in the middle and no problems otherwise. This was a great 4th of July pyramid. ???? Took the Dip2 to Nubsville. Finished the day with a Siglo I. Fantastic 40 minute cigar.

This is the only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger and buying a box is that ring gauge. I had to get rid of my QDO 54 cause of that ring gauge. I can definitely see how they can be an “acquired” taste but get review my friend.
