Popular Post Deeg
PLMC, my very first - a single from the host (sorry for the terrible pic - forgot my phone and actually had to use the iPad camera, ROFL). Hard to imagine not going in for a box at these prices, Delicious coffee and cream, a bit of caramel, perfect burn and smoke time a lot longer than you’d expect. How do they tend to smoke with about a year on them?
Popular Post RDB
Punch Punch UTE SEP 16. Every one from this box has been delicious. Claro-ish wrapper, thin and lovely. Complex, exotic and sweetly fragrant wood smoke, starting out quite light bodied but gaining spice. Burn and draw both very good, maybe a little on the easy side and a bit quick-smoking for a Corona Gorda, but who really cares? Such a good advert for Punch.

Did get citrus, cola and roasted nuts. It was my bday yesterday so could be still hurting from the weekend! Have a few boxes of fresh cigars smoking the house down so this will be resting until probably next year. Pic isn’t downloading ? GOS JUL 18 or EOS JUL 18? Had this EOS JL1 on my walk today. Also not much in the flavor department. Orange and Coffee, Orange was moving towards the lighter floral side after an inch or so. I think they are pretty wet, because it started get muted and squishy on the final third. Might need some time or a nice long dry box.... or both. 16

I have enough great boxes going right now that I'll let these rest a few more months.

Popular Post TTP21
PSD4. 6 pack from our host with LMB OCT 18 Mostly and PSP/HQ. Draw, construction, burn were all spot on. Flavors were harsh all the way through. Thought it may have been the V cut at first so I flattened it out with a straight cut, no better. 32 days down, 7 days dry box. I guess I just got a dud. Almost like an IPA where the brewer wanted to make the drinker pucker from the bitterness. A shame, because a PSD5 I had recently in Switzerland was amazing and I hoped for the same here. That was straight out of a small humidor with NC and CC at a tiny bar - makes me chuckle at how much effort went into this guy on my behalf. I've learned enough to know the next PSD4 will likely be the best CC I've ever had!

Your Wrapper does look a bit darker with oils than my example. i hope your next one is better Morning Bolivar RC AT. MSU SEP 18. Pulled this out of tube 3 weeks ago and into humi. I should have dry boxed instead. Wrapper is fire proof. Excellent draw and construction. Burn a disaster. The few full draws I get show promise. Popular Post wineguy
HdM DC. ROE JUL 16. Second from this box. It had a cracked foot so picked it for that reason. Construction burn and draw great so far.
Popular Post JohnS
Bolívar Belicosos Finos LMB Feb 2019 The Bolivar Belicosos Finos represents a marca I don't readily identify with as a Habanos cigar enthusiast, yet from time-to-time I continue to challenge my preferences (and biases) by smoking one. I picked these up recently as a quarter pack option from a 24:24 listing, and I am glad I did. Your average Piramide (also known colloquially as a Torpedo) is 52 ring gauge x 156 mm in length, the BBF is a Campanas and so is slightly smaller at 52 ring gauge x 140 mm in length. I've found them quite reliable in construction and flavour delivery over the years, on the odd occasion I have one. This one, however, I really enjoyed! Like my previous Bolivar, a Gold Medal from 2007, this had a gorgeous soft cocoa and marshmallow texture to it from the 'get-go'. This combined with a bitter malt, nutmeg, cream and towards the last third a build up in earth and leather flavours made for a wonderfully complex and ideal cigar for a change from my usual 'go-to' cigars.
