Whooops mine is an EOS Jul 18. I agree completely on your assessment. I have enough great boxes going right now that I'll let these rest a few more months.

PSD4. 6 pack from our host with LMB OCT 18 Mostly and PSP/HQ. Draw, construction, burn were all spot on.  Flavors were harsh all the way through. Thought it may have been the V cut at first so I flattened it out with a straight cut, no better.  32 days down, 7 days dry box.  I guess I just got a dud.  Almost like an IPA where the brewer wanted to make the drinker pucker from the bitterness. 

A shame, because a PSD5 I had recently in Switzerland was amazing and I hoped for the same here.  That was straight out of a small humidor with NC and CC at a tiny bar - makes me chuckle at how much effort went into this guy on my behalf.  I've learned enough to know the next PSD4 will likely be the best CC I've ever had!

Had same box code on Sunday. It was VG. Considered nubbing it. LMB OCT 18. Your Wrapper does look a bit darker with oils than my example.

Morning Bolivar RC AT. MSU SEP 18. Pulled this out of tube 3 weeks ago and into humi. I should have dry boxed instead. Wrapper is fire proof. Excellent draw and construction. Burn a disaster. The few full draws I get show promise. Live, Learn, Repeat...

Bolívar Belicosos Finos LMB Feb 2019

The Bolivar Belicosos Finos represents a marca I don't readily identify with as a Habanos cigar enthusiast, yet from time-to-time I continue to challenge my preferences (and biases) by smoking one. I picked these up recently as a quarter pack option from a 24:24 listing, and I am glad I did.

Your average Piramide (also known colloquially as a Torpedo) is 52 ring gauge x 156 mm in length, the BBF is a Campanas and so is slightly smaller at 52 ring gauge x 140 mm in length. I've found them quite reliable in construction and flavour delivery over the years, on the odd occasion I have one. This one, however, I really enjoyed!

Like my previous Bolivar, a Gold Medal from 2007, this had a gorgeous soft cocoa and marshmallow texture to it from the 'get-go'. This combined with a bitter malt, nutmeg, cream and towards the last third a build up in earth and leather flavours made for a wonderfully complex and ideal cigar for a change from my usual 'go-to' cigars.

MdO #3 from July 2002. Just turned 17 years old. Should have done a review on one of these bad boys last weekend. A sublime smoke. Very complex and nuanced flavors and aromas. These are spectacular. I put one of these in the Handicapped box pass, I hope whoever takes it enjoys them as much as I have.
