Trinidad Shorts

I had a quick 45-minute window prior to work this morning so I decided to give these puritos another try to compare. The Trinidad Shorts (or TriSho) was like typical contemporary Trinidad marca cigars, milk coffee, dough and spice, only a little more intense.

Cohiba Shorts

The Cohiba Shorts (or CoSho) was not as strong as the Trinidad Shorts and was typical of Cohiba marca cigars in its grass/hay and honey combination.

If I had to pick one, it would be the Cohiba Shorts but the Trinidad Shorts was very, very good. For me, there's not much between these fine recent puritos releases (If I had to quantify it, I'd say the Cohiba Shorts is up to 5 marks better on a 100 point scale).

I turned 38 today. Figure a Montecristo Grand Edmundo EL 2010 for me this afternoon with some iced Turquino coffee would be nice. Decadent pairing. Chocolate lovers dream! Bourbon later this evening!

Busy day to the state capital and back in one day. Finishing the day off with this lovely LUB JUN 14 Cohiba Siglo IV paired with a little D'Usse Cognac and in commemoration of the Kentucky Derby, a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. Long day, but a fun day and a great way to end it. Hope you all have a wonderful week.

Lovely looking new box of RG Perlas, GOS MAY 18. From our host and PSP grade - rightly so. Is this the most under-rated marca? The flavour is brilliant: intense rich (but not bitter) coffee and cocoa, with a touch of dark earth, adding a slightly sour edge that only freshens and adds interest. All this in a cigar about the same size as a cigarette...
