I’ve smoked a couple from this box, each one so tight even the perfecdraw barely made them smokeable. I picked this gorgeous specimen up anticipating the same draw... to my surprise this beauty had an effortless draw. I’m getting coffee, cream, sea salt, and a bunch of white pepper through the nose. Here I was regretting this box purchase, thinking to myself I should’ve stuck with what I know - but this cigar is excellent.

Here’s hoping the rest of the box is like this one!

Great afternoon.

Playoff hockey. No. 4. My favorite right now. Got a bunch of singles on their way from Rob's warehouse. Super excited to see if any of those take a new favorite, for me.

The whisky is redemption rye. It is a good cheap American 95% rye malt. Very spicy. As an Islay Scotch fan, I like this more than any mid shelf bourbon/rye.

Punch Coronas TSU Sep 2007 (thanks @baragh!)

The Montecristo No.3, Quai d'Orsay Coronas Claro and the Romeo y Julieta Cedros de Luxe No.2 are the last coronas vitolas left in regular production. Once upon a time it seemed every marca had a coronas-sized cigar, but that seems like aeons ago now.

This Punch Coronas was generously gifted to me by Will and was discontinued in 2009. My last Punch marca cigar was a 2018 Punch Punch and I thought it was spectacularly similar to the 2018 FoH Xmas Sampler one I had a few months ago. This Coronas was very close to those, if only because I felt that those two Punch Punch cigars oozed that distinctive Cuban Twang sour citrus tart note throughout, whereas this Coronas had stronger elements of leather to it. Still, this was very, very good and I wouldn't complain if I had a box of these. I'd make sure to rest them a little longer even, if I did!

CORO and some noon whistle gummypocalypse  the haze is real.

citus coffe citrus coffe citrus smoke output amazing. Smooth ... good combo beer almost pink grapefruit with a splash of pineapple juice and the CORO is hitting

Superb RASS TEB MAY 09 from a trade with @NorCalAaron. Started a little rougher than I expected but quickly turned to the RASS you would expect for one with a decade on it. Imagine raisin toast with Nutella. Draw and burn were perfect. My better half joined me and we had some Cab and some aged cheddar on the deck while the snow came down on us. For the record, I’m over the snow for this year. Going to be 18 degrees tomorrow night. Glad I have a conference in Phoenix next week to thaw out.

Had to resort to smoking in the garage on account of the rain but that's alright ill manage. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Either way, OEP JUL 14 HDM Epicure #2 smoking very nicely paired with a little Lagavulin 16 years.

H Upmann Robusto USE MAY 08. The last from the travel humidor. These have been a very good half dozen cigars - cedar, walnut, touch of cocoa, leather on the retrohale - but despite the rarity value they're there to be smoked and enjoyed. And I obviously still have the beautiful travel humidor to use for years to come. I'd say that if you can still find one, jump on the chance and hang the cost!

Had Montecristo 1935 Dumas from FOH weekday sampler during travelling at Penang. The flavour profile is more powerful and exotic than typical Montecristo cigars which makes it being more unique and special. However, I was a bit annoyed by too many cracks on its wrapper (totally godawful condition ?) that made me had to relight it so many times. Besides, since I was at the Love Lane (pubs, pubs everywhere!!) during that day, the music was too loud and there were too many hookah and cigarette smokes that made me difficult to focus on reviewing this cigar. Will review Leyenda on May for comparison.

Lesson During That Day: Sometimes, it is better to leave the cigar bands until you have to remove them to prevent major wrapper damages.

P.S. I was the only cigar smoker in that area by the way ?...
