Vcool Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Last night was a Monte Edmundo, step 2 of edmundo weekend.
maverickdrinker Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Last night This afternoon About to review
Ophidion Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 How did you like the sir winny (think thats the one I gave you in a trade).
maverickdrinker Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 How did you like the sir winny (think thats the one I gave you in a trade). I thought it could use more time. Very woody, cedar, leather characteristics throughtout the cigar. Still very bold in flavour for a 10 year old cigar. Very straight forward
Lotusguy Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Siglo II before the Roger Hodgson concert. Very mellow and smooth. Just what the doctor ordered after the excess that was my BBQ party last night
ramon_cojones Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 partagas e2 trini reyes both enjoyable on a ridiculously hot socal day in corona del mar
Lotusguy Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 ERDM Gran Corona from 2001 or 2002 (they say memory fades after you hit 40 ) Nowhere near as good as the Coronas De Luxe I had recently. Rather bitter and when I checked the head I saw a lot of underfermented (green) leaves. Too bad. Tried to capture a pic.
joeypots Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 2002 BCG This one was fantastic. One left from a Cab, Good by my beloved friend.
ramon_cojones Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 In addition to the 2 cigars I had yesterday the weather was so nice at night that I had a very rare sunday night smoke on the patio. Kept it short though with a sig i from may 10. My god this cigar is excellent and complex for a perla. The second half just exploded with the vanilla that added to the first half's character, perfect draw. Best one yet and they keep getting better, going to have to get another box soon so I can age them. One of my favorite cohibas.
Zaphod42 Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Excellent construction, but muted flavors. Have to wait and see how they do after a long rest
DougB Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 '11 PL Panetela '07 Monarch at a golf outing- very, very tasty '11 BPC finishing up the round Nice day of smoking and golf...you gotta love a scramble. '00 Punch RS11 on the deck now. Perfect draw
Puros Y Vino Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Three cigar night. Met up with Tom and Enis. Smoked a 1998 HdM Du Dauphin, followed by a VR Unicos and capped off with a PLPC. Banner night.
phoenix Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Three cigar night. Met up with Tom and Enis. Smoked a 1998 HdM Du Dauphin, followed by a VR Unicos and capped off with a PLPC. Banner night. Might that Unico be from an 09 box?
Ophidion Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 11 cazzy. Bad day at work + fast paced smoke of cazzy on empty gut = everything all better.
Pilgrims Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Trini Coloniales, better that the only other one I have had that was plugged!! Good start and aroma then built a little then revealed itself to be too young and/or a little too "wet", Love the size and would be interested to try one or two with a little age
Ginseng Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 2001 Upmann Sir Winston. My god, they don't make cigars like that anymore. Wilkey
phoenix Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Yesterday I enjoyed a tasty pre-dinner 03 Party SdC#2 with a little Watari Bune Daiginjo Sake. And then after dinner an incredible Boli Especiale GER RE (THANKS! Kevin aka Ophidion) with Trois Rivières 1998 Single Missouri Cask Rum
Nino Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Another summer dinner outside, cheese stuffed peppers wrapped in bacon, meat stuffed zucchinis, a bottle of Italian Riserva and a PSD 4 that, once again lured the neighbours cat back outside ...
Lotusguy Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Another outstanding Bolivar Lonsdale from 1999. Not a dud in the box so far, despite the critical year
LLC Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Just home and lots to do tonight so time for a Boli PC. Off to a good start.
