An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

C&C ‘14 especiales. Fantastic start to the day C&C with a Monte 4 C&C time today with a Perla picked up from 24:24

Mid day smoke, after a hike with the dog, Cohiba Siglo I with a cup o joe. I could have 10 boxes in a locker and still not have enough of these...

Hoyo DC paired with sparkling wine after the first BBQ of the season. Came back with me from Cuba as a loose single so the wrapper was a little banged up but it smoked beautifully. Going to have to get a box of these too.

Easter weekend:

PSD4 - last few out of the box have been ordinary. this one was great.

CoRo - phenomenal cigar

Party Lusi - loosish draw. boring.

Overall, my faith in robustos was restored this weekend. Had so many crap, underfilled PSD4s lately.

Punch Serie D'Or No. 1 (2008) Exclusivo Reino Unido...started out like the Punch marca I love, but turned harsh and bitter after 2/3rds of the way through. Vey ugly mottled ash. Had to relight 3 times in the last third.

also had a maduro Padron 1964 series exclusivo. about as thick as a robusto but a little longer.

very nice smoke but expensive for what it was. i also had the natural Padron 1964 series imperial, a long skinny (RIP Tampa) over easter and that was an absolute ripper! also expensive though. will post review soon

I've been away on vacation in the Bahamas, and enjoyed quite a few smokes this past week...

Ramon Allones Gigante

Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona

Edmundo Dantes Conde 109

Cohiba Gran Reserva

Partagas Chicos

La Gloria Cubana Glorioso 2008 RE UK

La Gloria Cubana Delicioso 2010 RE Cuba

Havana Humidor Rioja Culebra

Xikar HC Series Connecticut Shade Robusto

Wish I would have had the time to enjoy even more cigars on the trip...

Which impressed you the most?

I had a couple excellent large cigars- excellent 97 BCG yesterday & an 08 QdeO Imperiale today. The Imperiale is stronger than most people think- at least this batch of 08s is.

chenman what did you think of the LGC Glorioso?

Only had one last winter and whilst the draw was a bit tight, I loved it. cracking cigar wish I had a box

The Glorioso was an amazing cigar. Loved it...spades better than the new Delicioso for 2010 made for Cuba. I am looking into buying a box of the Gloriosos. Honestly the best LGC I've smoked.

To be honest, my favorite cigar during vacation was the LGC Glorioso. Simply faboulous cigar. Of the large format, I preferred the HdM DC over the Edmundo Dantes and the RA Gigante. OF these three the Dante would have come in third.
