Popular Post SonGoku Posted March 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 29, 2019 Was in the mood for a change of pace today. First NC this year. I might have smoked a total of 20 cigars this year so far. 16
Popular Post RDB Posted March 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 29, 2019 Bloody hell these La Punta are strong. Waaay stronger than the Fuerza or Principe that I’ve had. Maybe a particularly strong box... it’s a wonderful looking HQ example from LGR NOV 17. Turkish coffee, oily char, deep chocolate. It’s like the bitter and sweet flavours have both been turned right up in intensity. 24
Popular Post KnightsAnole Posted March 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 29, 2019 Another superbly constructed cigar, been on a roll lately. PSP2 2012 17
havanaclub Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Thoughts !? Nice picSent from my iPhone using TapatalkRum wasn’t great and not one I usually have as a sipper, more so a good mixer. The cigar on the other hand was very good. Started with some muted flavours but opened up in the second half. Some nice twang that I usually get with RyJ and hints of fruit. This box will develop nicely I am sure in the next 2-3 years. Won’t touch another for 6-8 months. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
Popular Post Guantanamera Posted March 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 29, 2019 I received this as a bonus stick with something I bought in December or January. I get the salty driftwood thing. Great draw and burn. Wonderful smoke!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 15

This is a rare cigar, the Elie Bleu Che Humidor torpedo from 2004, gifted to me by @alloy (thank you so much for making this possible!). Yes, it's Cuban. For more information on this release follow this thread below... How did it smoke? In one word...gloriously! Beautiful notes of smooth chocolate, and orange citrus twang, some gingerbread sweetness and a little creaminess, like something close to the 2011 Montecristo No.2 Gran Reserva. Good luck to you if you can hunt down an original release of these! I'm really glad to meet you and swap some really great cigars John. I wish there were more of these. 1

The feeling is mutual, Mike. I'm really glad to have met up with you (and all the guys that night in Dallas/Fort Worth) and thank you again for generously allowing me to add this special release cigar to my habanos 'oeuvre'. 1
Popular Post LLC Posted March 30, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 30, 2019 Spent most of the day in Montreal but now back home and settling in for a night of College Basketball with a Hamlet Salomones from 2013. Of course I knocked the ash off and all over me just when I was going to take the picture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 18
Popular Post Kaptain Karl Posted March 30, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 30, 2019 My go-to at my local B&M. IMO one of the few NC’s that is just as good as a solid CC. 9
Popular Post SokaKiel Posted March 30, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 30, 2019 (edited) Finally managed to catch up with Chris ChanceSchmerr over the last two days in the Seychelles of all places. Both of us sailors, we’ve coincidentally ended up on the same island at the same time! Love FoH for stuff like that! Yesterday we drove around the main island of Mahe a bit, had a good seafood lunch on the beach at ‘Del Place’ on the west coast! Afterwards we enjoyed some cigars down at Anse Royal at ‘Cafe Kreol’. I have spend many weeks down here over this winter season and can highly recommend the islands. There are not just high end resorts here, you’ll find anything from cheap AirBnB’s to $10.000 a night villas. And if you ever cross path with Chris, don’t miss the chance to catch up, what a great Botl! Thanks Chris! Edited March 31, 2019 by SokaKiel 10 1

Popular Post RazorbackFan Posted March 30, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 30, 2019 Enjoyed my first-ever Sir Winston last night, the first one from a SEA MAY 17 box. I’ve had two boxes of HUSW sitting in my tupperdor for a year and a half, untouched. I’d always make an excuse like “they’ll be better aged” or “save them for special occasions”. From now on, I’ll consider a good cigar to BE a special occasion. Rather than waiting around for the perfect day, I’m going to smoke the damn things, and the same goes for all of the other untouched boxes I’ve put away. All of these cigars won’t do me a bit of good if I get hit by a bus tomorrow. I think it’s time to start wearing my best suit, eating on the good china, and smoking my best cigars! 32

havanaclub Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 An OBM Feb 17 Churchill that's just killin it. Happy Aloha Friday! I wish mine burned. I got a really dark PSP OBM 16 box and unfortunately they are asbestos wrappers. Bombed a few out and the people told me they pitched them early as they wouldn’t stay lit. Not sure if time will help them. Because of this, it has really made me rethink the dark oily ones. I hope I am wrong and the first 6-7 of them will be the only duds. But a year later they seem to have come around nicely, now that I have about 10 left. The last 2 have burned just fine, with tons of wonderful barnyard caramel and fruity vanilla ’n coffee. Yum.

I won’t touch them for 8-12 months. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
