Popular Post HDGSN Posted March 24, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 24, 2019 Sancho Panza Non-Plus UBA MAR 15 Enjoyed with my best friend, Frau, and several fingers of El Dorado 12 Year Rum on a warm, Spring weekend. Cigar of the year so far - flavors, draw, burn all perfect. Heavy on the driftwood like all the others from this box, but this was the first to show those great salted flavors of salted cream, salted chocolate with a touch of brown sugar, cappucino and some anise at the very end. 97/100 Trinidad Fundadores MUP OCT 18 My first ever Fundy bought on my first ever trip to Cuba. My plan was to wait to have one out back watching the Masters, but the weather this weekend was so nice, my Tar Heels were playing for the Sweet Sixteen, and there are no guarantees in life. I capitalized on the situation. The cigar was pure CLASS. French press quality coffee and glazed donut. Good to the very end. Just one touch up - otherwise it fixed the wind burn running line every time. Staring at 24 boxes back in December, I had the coin in the budget for 2 boxes. Glad I got 2. Should have bought all 24. 96/100 Custom Roll Corona by Alex My first ever Alex custom to celebrate a great win over a Washington team playing a little too physical for my liking. 20
Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted March 24, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 24, 2019 Coffee and a Siglo IV on a beautiful Sunday morning. 20
Popular Post RDB Posted March 24, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 24, 2019 RyJ Petit Royale SMA JUN 18. These are a great short smoke. Fuller bodied and stronger flavours than the Churchill family, in a darker register. 15
Popular Post inter4alia Posted March 24, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 24, 2019 No wind in the windy city this morning. Perfect a smoke and coffee. Montecarlo from May 17 along with some summer vacation planning. I've decided it will be a Monte with coffee morning - - decisions, decisions... 26
Popular Post bigbwalls Posted March 24, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 24, 2019 Diplomaticos 2 - Aug 18 I can’t keep my hands off this box of Diplo 2s. I’d like to see how these age but I’m assuming that’ll be impossible - these are great right now. H. Upmann No 2 - Oct 17 24

It's a problem I have with a lot of skinny Cubans. So I just decided to invest in a PerfecDraw and now I don't have to deal with it anymore.
Popular Post Lotusguy Posted March 24, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 24, 2019 Boli Simones - something is either off with my palate (getting over a cold) or this stick but it is way bitter. Totally messed it up when lighting it, but this RG is still great. 16

Popular Post Kaptain Karl Posted March 25, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 25, 2019 After a week of disappointing to average CC’s and the best cigar being an NC-Zino Platinum low rider (grab one next time you’re in a B&M, it’s truly a fantastic smoke) this April ‘18 Partagas 898 is reminding me what a great Cuban is. Huge volumes of palette coating rich full flavored smoke. So glad I got 2 boxes last year! 18

Popular Post JohnS Posted March 25, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 25, 2019 Montecristo No.2 GOS Ago 2018 This came from a 10-count box of lighter-wrappered Montecristo No.2's because I wanted to smoke some Monte 2's that were approachable younger, and for my tastes, that means lighter colorado claro wrappers by preference. So this did not disappoint at all. I loved the Montecristo cocoa, coffee and nut combination, a dollop of cream and a tasty citrus tang all the way that didn't let up in intensity from beginning to end! 25
Popular Post RDB Posted March 25, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 25, 2019 The sun ain’t gonna shine anymore... RIP Scott Walker. A beautiful mongrel seems the appropriate smoke. This is LGR MAR 18. Not a hint of caramel, but instead a delicious spicy, sappy woodsmoke aroma. A touch of animal fat perhaps. Full flavoured but mid bodied and not overwhelming, it kept calling me back in the way all really good smokes do. I had better buy another cab if I’m going to age some for the long term... 20
