Tasted great though! 6
Popular Post JohnS Posted March 17, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2019 Montecristo Especiales No.2 LAU May 2016 The Montecristo Especiales No.2, like the Montecristo Especial is a reputable cigar in the Montecristo marca on account of its ring gauge, vitola, history and on a personal level, they pretty much smoke well nearly every time. Well, except this time, that is! Have you ever had a cigar that started off from the first few puffs screaming, "this is the finest cigar you'll ever smoke?" This was one such time, until mysteriously about one-sixth of the way in the cigar decided to go out. It continued to do so, on-and-off, until the very end. The cause? Bunched leaves on the wrapper and binder resulted in uneven burns and voila I'm sitting there practising touch-ups with my lighter all night. The first one-sixth was all smooth cocoa, milk coffee and yummy baking spice, exactly how I like this cigar, the last 80% of the cigar was bitter chocolate and spice. I've smoked seven Montecristo Especiales No.2's in the last 18 to 24 months and they've all been sensational, except this one. 22 4

Popular Post RijkdeGooier Posted March 17, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2019 Smoked this beauty last Friday from the Hoyo Book A true Maravilla of a cigar. Full bodied, similar to the Hoyo DC’s pre 1998. But a way bit bigger It took me on a fantastic 3 hour journey 21
Popular Post inter4alia Posted March 17, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2019 Yesterday was a good day. 26
Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted March 17, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2019 Interesting “cigar related” day in the operating room today. We pulled a cigar tube out of some guy’s sigmoid colon. Take my word for it when I tell you, you dont want to see the pic. Anyway, on the way home I smoked a La Trova from a recent 24:24. 24 5 1

So many one liners to be had. 1) I see he went the bill Clinton route for smoking cigars. 2) This will add to the great plume/mold debate. 3) had a barnyard/manure aroma... 2 1 5
Popular Post Shelby07 Posted March 17, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2019 Sometimes you just gotta put down a plugged cigar. Lighting up the second one and having it smoke great is just so damn satisfying. One more shorty with my buddy before the sun goes down. Lovin’ this extra hour! 23

Popular Post Trimming Posted March 17, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2019 Grabbed this out of the blue today, not bad for nearly 12 years. Not your typical CC, though I still realize why the boxes are nearly full of all three sizes... 27
Popular Post mikem2780 Posted March 17, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2019 Recovering from another loss to MSU. No time to look up codes. Just trying to relax! 23

Popular Post Islandboy Posted March 18, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 18, 2019 Enjoying a NC tonight, interesting cigar. It's an HVC La Rosa 520, picked up a box of 10 on a whim some 4 years ago, before I had discovered CC's. I thought they were pretty awful after the first few, quite flavorless. So I buried them, pulling one out about every 6 months or so, always coming to the same conclusion. Until a few months ago. What a dramatic transition! I've never experienced such a change with a cigar. Just a wonderful balance of flavors. And this, with just 4 left. Well I'm not waiting for the next transition, I've got one left after this, and they've been pretty magnificent. 15
Popular Post MigsG Posted March 18, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 18, 2019 Yet another midnight smoke under a full moon, a beautiful still night. A serene 1 hour and 15 minutes. What a delicious cigar, IMHO. Bolivar Royal Corona, from a singles order, 7 months rested. 22

Still it’s what I always use, never disapoints and after 8 years it still spits fire relentlessly. Exactly! I love that lighter, I was gifted one like 5yrs ago and it it finally died, I luckily bought another one about 2yrs later and it was same style, fast forward to last year I bought 5 more......they aren't the same as they used to be, and out of five, two have worked.......however I still have one more I haven't opened yet.......just waiting.
