Popular Post Luca Posted March 10, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 10, 2019 Some great smokes over the past couple of days in Athens and Santorini. Made a new friend too! ? Back to Athens tomorrow. Hoping to stop by LCDH Athens on our way to Arachova. 22
Popular Post prodigy Posted March 10, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 10, 2019 This is the first from the box, and I believe my second one ever. Tighter than a block of concrete. Perfecdraw opened it up nicely and it's actually smoking better than I was expecting. Might have to let the box sit for a year before I try another. I hear these really need some age to shine. Popular Post DandyJBez Posted March 10, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 10, 2019 Old band QDO. About 4 years of age on it.. And man, this cigar keeps getting better. Creamy the entire way through. I also got some pretty heavy mocha notes about half way through that I didn't pick up on when it was younger. When it was younger it had some pretty interesting sweet spices, that I can now only pick up on through the retrohale. But I'll take the desert flavors that I'm getting. There were some notes of leather throughout, but predominantly a sweet cream. Will definitely let these rest for even longer. It also had some of the most impressive smoke production of any cigar I've had. Burn was wavy, but didn't require any attention (it had just rained, so I'm gonna attribute it to that) Also this was definitely the ugliest rapper of the box. None of the rest are as mottled as this one. But ?♂️ 21

Happy for ya Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk lol it really was an eyesore. Had to smoke it just so I wouldn't have to see it in the box. 1

Popular Post Weeklystogie Posted March 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 11, 2019 Has it been scientifically proven that the PLPC is the best bang for the buck bbq cigar? Even a rainy day can’t hold it back.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 14
Popular Post HarveyBoulevard Posted March 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 11, 2019 Partagas Churchill Delux from late 90s or early 00s... can't exactly recall and not going to dig out the box. It is a good end to a long day. My two-year-old put an entire roll of toilet paper in the toilet. 18 7

Caramel, coffee, honey and a little toast this time (perhaps the youthfulness, no doubt?). Towards the last third there was more of a wood flavour which dominated and distinguished this from the other four I had in the past month to month-and-a-half. No matter, I still nubbed it! You sure have been having an enjoyable run on these it seems John. They are certainly nubable IMHO also. I'm loving my box from 17 also. 1 1
Popular Post Chucko8 Posted March 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 11, 2019 Tried this out over the weekend. ERDM Choix Du Roi Belux RE. SUM SEP 16 Displayed characters of cream, vanilla and honey. Was very smooth and creamy with an oak presence also. Able to retro hale for the majority of the stick. Light start though by the end had matured to a fuller medium. Can imagine that in a few more years the cream will be further enhanced. 14

Popular Post AbasCigar Posted March 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 11, 2019 Montecristo no. 2 Finally some sun today. Still -7°C but this cigar made me feel like I'm in Havana. 17
Popular Post SonGoku Posted March 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 11, 2019 Seemed like a great idea before the sun disappeared before behind the build in front of me a third into the cigar ❄️ 17
Popular Post YOM'$ Posted March 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 11, 2019 Had this 2016 HUHC on Sunday. It’s smoking better throughout but still not where it needs to be. Give it another 3 months. 13

Popular Post JohnS Posted March 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 11, 2019 H. Upmann Petit Coronas TOS Nov 2016 (Thanks @Richard peters!) Thank you @Richard peters for gifting me this sadly now deleted cigar. Approaching 2-and-a-half years of age, how does this compare to some superlative examples I've had closer to 10 years rested? Simply put, the melding of flavours is still to come, but in the meantime one can very much enjoy the complexity in these as they age. As a result of the H.Upmann Petit Corona being discontinued in 2017, this means that the last boxes bought in late 2016 (perhaps early 2017) would have been quite strong upon initial smoking, especially in espresso coffee flavours. As they age to around the 3-year mark, there will most likely be a buildup of cream and shortbread flavour, something for which H.Upmann is known for, with the espresso coffee and pepper still evident, more towards the back half. This was the case exactly with this cigar. I have a few boxes resting for the long-term of this, in my opinion, hugely under-rated cigar (as I doubt it ever sold anywhere near in the huge quantities the Montecristo No.4 sells) and my aim is to smoke them at the point where they are like mellow cedar and cream shortbread sticks with a hint of coffee and white pepper. I know this will take awhile but the payoff will be worth it. 25
