havanaclub Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 How is it? I have two 2016 boxes and one 2018 box. Still have yet to try one.... Not bad but not great. I am not sure of the date as I won it from FoH but I would guess recent production maybe late 17 early 18. A little harsh around the edges for sure. Getting straight leather and pepper notes, that’s about it. I would crack that 16 box and give it a whirl. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

Thanks man ...reason I ask is I just smoked through some 15s and soon will crack into my 16s ..wondering what the year might’ve done to the smoke Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk It smoked very well. Not harsh at all. Unfortunately I have not had any with more age on them than these do. As for this one example from this cab. I’d say start smoking your ‘16’s. Wish I could be more help, let me know how it goes! 1
Popular Post JohnS Posted February 24, 2019 Popular Post Posted February 24, 2019 Romeo y Julieta Churchills OBM May 2017 I don't think I can recall a 2016/17 Romeo y Julieta Churchill that I did not enjoy recently and furthermore, rate highly. In contrast, I don't think I've had blander cigars than some 2014/15 Romeo y Julieta Churchills I've smoked. Thus stands the gulf in how far this vitola has come in terms of reputation. The main thing I have come to seek from these Churchills in the last 12 to 18 months is the combination of turkish delight, rosewater and sweet anise. Sometimes you get cherry (or berries) and they can be 'toasty' this young too. This Churchill cigar had notes of milk chocolate and was light on the sweet anise flavour. Otherwise, the flavours were typically what I've come to expect of late and it was similarly superb. 24

But taste wise I feel that I got the same notes just less pepper in the aged one. When comparing a fresh cohiba/ bolivar etc to an aged one there is a huge difference that I cant say I got with PSD4 2

Very nice, sort of like a lighter register member of the Upmann Connie family perhaps? I get plain roasted peanuts, cedar wood and a sense of milky richness, plus a touch of tea. I can’t really see the mad mad frenzy for these stick though, beyond the novelty value. Highly recommend you age that box (if you can) for a minimum of 2 year. Try to aim for 5 if possible. When they have age on them I find that the shortbread increases and there is also a pleasant orange citrus twang to it. 7

I have two boxes "TOR DIC 15" in my coolidor and have not smoked one yet. I want to wait to smoke one with at least 5 years of age on them so figure I will probably not smoke one until January, 2021. 1

I thought they were very good from the get-go. I will say they have lost all their sharp edges and are just very decadent smokes. I would certainly try one as you have 50 and you will still have 49 left if they are not to your liking yet. I had two hours of bliss last night with one. Almost took it to bed afterwards LOL 2 1
Popular Post prodigy Posted February 24, 2019 Popular Post Posted February 24, 2019 I really need to work on my will power. Decided to get a baseline on these. ROTT and it was amazing!! I am hoping we found our first house this afternoon. I don't want to jinx anything as we still have a long way to go, but it was perfect. Celebrating with a monsdale. Popular Post bigbwalls Posted February 24, 2019 Popular Post Posted February 24, 2019 Serie P No. 2 - Jan 2018 Lots of of spice through the nose. Creamy leather, some cinnamon and sweet caramel. Perfect construction, a little give when squeezed - a strong draw pulls out clouds of smoke. Are all the 2018 Serie P No. 2s this good? If so, I’m buying another box. This one won’t last long. 15
