After a bit of translating ingredients the sausage rolls recipe worked out and were gobbled up in no time. Finally cracked a few bottles I’ve been hanging onto; was slightly underwhelmed on the Diplomatico, I love the Anejo Reserva and was hoping this would blow it out of the water but sadly not. The Cigar Blend is really nice, was pretty magic with the Sancho but what did amaze me was the Aussie Redlands, they have something special going on down there. ?? I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was surprisingly good. Very smooth with toasted tobacco, nuts and a pleasant wood flavor. Great draw and burn the entire way. This was similarly spectacular, only a little more stronger in coffee flavours in the back half. How do the Quintero age? Been thinking about grabbing some... We did stop by a trucker bar last night, there was a karaoke version of Cotton Eye Joe playing to some impromptu square dance. I kid you not. The Quinteros have aged beautifully. Those two wheels have been fantastic, with the exception of a few underfilled ones. Not a lot of complex changes but it has almost become my go-to morning cigar the past couple of months. I bought 2 boxes back in September and every one I’ve tried so far has had a really tight draw and has been pretty tasteless.
