Feeling inspired by @JohnS (both in cigar selection and method of photography) i pulled a BMS ENE 15 rg perlas outta the box for a nightcap.

Ha, I wish! If I recall correctly, those very early 2011/12 releases were first available in regions like Spain and the United Kingdom.

Waited for my birthday to try the first Talisman out of the box. Kicked my ass. True to EL’s, it’s a much more rich and full flavored representative of the Marca. And true to the Marca, it needs several more years before it shines...but it’s obvious all the makings of a brilliant cigar are there. Cheers!

The obvious answer if course is buy both and have half each. If you're only in for one I'd say Shorts as they smoke better younger IMHO.

An all time fav of mine. It’s a single so I’m not sure of the date or box. Im estimating it has over one year though, very smooth.

dark grey ash, good burn. Wonderful Upmann flavors. She’s packed too, look at that foot.

ive really been focusing on not smoking hard. Soft slow pulls spaces out. Seems that it has made a more enjoyable experience for me and my palate.

Also using my Christmas gift, the Alec Bradley table lighter. It has a soft flame and I’m not torching it. Wonder if that has any effect?
