I do love the holiday season. It starts with Halloween and moves into Thanksgiving then transitions to two weeks of parents visiting then segues right into Christmas shopping and then Christmas. There was a Seinfeld episode where George Costanza declared the "summer of George". I have declared this the "Christmas of Jeff". I needed a break today. The wife was kind enough to give me the night off so I've been out back for the last couple of hours. A couple of nice cigars and about four fingers of Booker's Bourbon did the trick.

That's an understatement considering you lit up a sir David. Send me one and I'll send you a proper bourbon to pair with it! I'm thinking a cigar of that caliber deserves a William Larue Weller or a George T Stagg?

I haven’t been online a lot lately.  It’s my busy time of the year at work.  I managed to squeeze in time for a cigar or two this morning.

CAO Colombia, robusto. These have twang that rivals Cuban cigars. Earthy sweet and sour twang.

Improvised and short-notice herf last night. RA 32nd Phoenician. Still lots of legs, natural changes and quite a bit of body. Not bad, RAesque at times.

2014 Secretos. I was very impressed, I usually have not been a fan of Cohiba's maduro line but maybe with more wrapper-to-filler ratio.. Chocolate and earth dominates.

Great cigar for the dog walk on a cold southern evening 

 

I love this Cigar. My box has all been crackers to quote Rob. I can’t say that about my box of PSD4, but these Fives....I’d smoke them all day every day. 

Slight saltiness to start on the lips, which is not common to my experience with this lineup. Some citrus, cedar and earthiness. Just lovely. 

Definitley what’s needed to distract me while waxing the car...after laying a business to do it...but they did a horrible job.
