maverickdrinker Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 A few cigars at our annual BBQ 09 Alfonso Custom roll robusto H Upmann Half Corona BHK 52 09 Santos Sublime All in all, a great day.
nikesupremedunk Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 My first 3-cigar day: Started off with a 00 Punch RS11 which was very disappointing...first third was interesting but after that it was just bitter and tasteless. RyJ Short Churchill which was also a bit bitter and not as good as the one I had a month ago Ended with a Padron 1964 Annv Maduro gifted to me by my buddy when we went to B&M tonight. Sadly, the Padron was probably the best smoke of the day
dicko Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Friday night a Partagas 898 (09) and BBF (11) kindly gifted by ozcuban. the BBF was the best smoke ive had all year!!!!!!! all middle eastern spices and clove, delicious! Bought a cabinet just now, my finances are perilous
isa Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Had a party sdc 3 today - tight draw, but tasty as usual.

LLC Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 How I'll be spending my next two hours. Robaina Godfather
Michel1968 Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Epernay Le Ferme 2009 Good, but liked them better when they're were just released...
CBL Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 First proper garden weekend in The Netherlands so I enjoyed it with a '06 QdO Corona & a very nice, sweet Bolivar Gold Medal LSM '08. I finally understand why people jump on these during LFTH, they've gotten really tasty. Perfect smoke for a relaxing afternoon on the deck.
pjansen Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Epernay Le Ferme 2009 Good, but liked them better when they're were just released... Smoking a 2012 Le Monde that's bliss!
BatFastard Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Monte Edmundo - MAS SEP 08 My 3rd from a box I picked up in Cuba in April. Initially these were ridiculously over humidified, but after a couple months in the humi, have really come around. Very fruity and almost bready. These probably won't last too much longer if this one was a sign of things to come.
Lotusguy Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 On my way to Chi-town (for the 6. time this year already ) Dip 5 from 2006. Fantastic!
Dbone Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Monte Esp #2. Expectations met, this box has been smoking very well. You just can't get the same taste from the larger ring gauges.
ramon_cojones Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Been meaning to try those forever but I am not a monte guy. Had a bpc (my first lol) and a couple pl panetelas. Def need to get me a few boxes of these.
LGC Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 2000 Monte Joyita. The H2000 wrapper is total chit... and completely ruins a small ring gauge cigar. The box is going in the garbage. Up to my pits with stuff to do moving into a house. Can't wait until I can sit down and smoke a REAL cigar!
phoenix Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Old Faithful and my goto smoke. CCE this one from LSO JUL 08.
ramon_cojones Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 ^stop jocking my style had a plugged 06 monte especial redeemed by a pretty good bolivar ce from 07

nikesupremedunk Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Wes, I notice in every picture you post you have like the most perfect burn & ash I've ever seen. C'mon man, share your secrets! Oh, and had a Siglo II today which was a bit young but still a decent smoke.
ramon_cojones Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 secret smokes RA Libano Phoenicias 30th Anni - at least that's what the band says. Thanks to a great friend and mentor for all my smokes. fixed that for you
Mr.T Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Smoked my first Sancho Panza Escuderos last night. Opening the box, it smelled like manure. Plenty of damp went earth and soil coming out. The cigar burned and drew well, but needed a few touch ups with the matches. Hints of nuts, earth and some sweetness I couldn't really place. It was a good smoke, but I think these need more time. I think they'll benefit from laying down for a while.
phoenix Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 Wes, I notice in every picture you post you have like the most perfect burn & ash I've ever seen. C'mon man, share your secrets! I could tell ya, but then I'd have to kill ya! Today was a killa Siglo III from LBT OCT 09
Mr.T Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 Well, I finished off the last of my glorious PSP 2s from 2011. Goodness, this has to be one of the best Cuban boxes I've had. Each and every one was a wonderful smoking experience. Plenty of cedar, leather, a touch of spice and pepper and cocoa.
