ChanceSchmerr Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Trinidad Ingenios 2007 EL Leather character to start, becoming strong and quite powerful after the first third. Made my head spin, and not in an enjoyable way. The ash was near black for large portions of this cigar, I did not find it a good smoke. Perhaps it needs more time, but I doubt I will give it another shot. Can't hold a candle to the Trini Fundi or Robusto Extra.
brutusthebuckeye Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Sat on the front porch as it rained last night smoking a Punch Super Robusto 2007 RE Exclusivo Asia Pacifico while watching "Damage" starring "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. A good friend of mine wrote the screenplay to the movie. It was a bit too 80s kitsch for me, especially for a 2009/2010 release. I'd have to say my favorite screenplay/movie of his is "The Cooler" that starred William H. Macy, Maria Bello and Alec Baldwin. Now that was a great flick. Just about every movie with a wrestler or X wrestler in it sucks...no matter who wrote it,directed etc etc.... Did Stone Cold give anybody the "Stunner" during the flick?
Bartolomeo Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 RA Beli UK RE .......Fuhgedaboudit! Rich leather/coffee/earthy flavors
dicko Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 last night had a NC gifted from magste which was spicy and tasty albeit without evolution. also had a dip 4. about my 5th from a box i got so i didn't miss out forever. excellent smoke
thechenman Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Last night I smoked a Bolivar Simone 2008 RE Canada. Started out great for about the 1st inch, then bleech. Not impressed.
bunburyist Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 just put away an SLR DC, unknown age. Raced through it without really realising, took an hour n 20 min or so. Milder than I expected, but some pleasant cedar/tobacco/nut flavours coming through, with a bit more depth a the end. Solid 88.
almudawi Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Montecristo Petite Edmundo. (my to go to smoke) Coffee and cream !
Stalebread Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 This afternoon: a Partagas Lonsdale from an '02 cab. One of the best cigars I've had for a while.
Habanos2000 Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Cohiba Sig VI, probably from 07. great Cohiba flavor profile, medium body, dense smoke. For whatever reason the ring gauge was a bit uncomfortably large. Probably due to the fact that I've been enjoying smaller gauges recently. A solid 90 points nonetheless.
thechenman Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Last night smoked a Cohiba Maduro 5 Genio. Good, but have had better. I have to admit though that my love of maduros that started with NCs does not translate as well when it comes to CCs.
bassman Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 This afternoon: a Partagas Lonsdale from an '02 cab.One of the best cigars I've had for a while. I smoked one from a NOV 02 cab while taking a long walk today. One of my favorite cigars.

Rich, medium bodied, toasted tobacco, some paprika cream spice. They are a great smoke, which I find quite consistent.classic old school partagas. Am puffing on a Petit Edmundo for breakfast, well rounded medium bodied smoke...
bassman Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 I have hit on a Golden patch of Partagas shorts. Hd another this afternoon in the jeep for the 45 minute trip home. Magnificent. Rich, medium bodied, toasted tobacco, some paprika cream spice. Though I have a cab of 07 Shorts, I have not smoked a single one since I stocked up on 99 Partagas TPCs. Today though, an 02 Bolivar CG- slow burning & earthy. Yum.
bigfunkyg Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Smoked another H. Upmann Magnum 46 last night. After a bunch of disapointing ones, finally saw the light. Clean tobacco, mild leathery and earthly, under medium. Really enjoyable. Didn't finish all that well, but the box is still fairly young. Bolivar Royal Corona the night before. Very solid, great Bolivar flavour but not as strong as the BBF.
Ellery Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Last night smoked a Cohiba Maduro 5 Genio. Good, but have had better. I have to admit though that my love of maduros that started with NCs does not translate as well when it comes to CCs. I've noticed the same thing. I use to smoke primarily Maduro NCs but since I started smoking CCs I prefer the lighter shade wrappers. Just smoked Upmann Sir Winston. Excellent smoke, great development of flavors throughout the whole cigar. I think this may be my next box purchase
Guest rob Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Easter Sunday, after lunch - a 2000 Partagas Pyramide EL from the PCC vintage release program.
mkz Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Yesterday had a perfect spring weather and the following cigars met their destiny... Bolivar Petit Corona: Long time no seen! Flavour bomb! RyJ Short Churchill: Boring! It was OK but nothing more. Cohiba Siglo III: Really nice relaxing smoke. Paired perfectly with me being quite tipsy. Punch Petit Corona: Best of the whole bunch! I love the sweet-tobacco-punch flavours!! Winner!!
mazolaman Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Will you not need an iron lung after all those......... Bolivar belicosos fino for breakfast...yum.
chrisguinther Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Thursday: LGC MDO #1 from 02 box: Flavorful, light, and overly enjoyable. SAturday: Juan Lopez Seleccion Suprema: relatively band and underfilled.
