Sancho Panza Non Plus ABR Sep 2011

The Sancho Panza Non Plus is a cigar which lends itself to long-term aging, and I must say, I'm proud that the first cigar from this box came after it had rested over 7 years. Unfortunately, the weather was little inclement today and so I don't feel that the cigar-smoking experience was optimal. No matter, there were still quality flavours on display such as wood, unsweetened cream, tea, a hint of salt combined with a floral edge which comes from age. I look forward to the next cigar from this box!

Just had a 08 Belicoso.  Really lovely. loads of that dry cream-like salty profile. Interestingly the wood element was a bit more like an olive-wood.   Someone on the forum had described a Molino like "a swim in the Mediterranean". As a metaphorical experience and can quite easily visualise that now, with the smell of the olive groves in the background.  Lovely stuff.

My first ever BBF (TEO ABR 18) from a trade with [mention=32654]Ritch[/mention]. Although it felt good to the touch it tasted a little dry, but it showed plenty of leather, clove and earthiness - nice combo. I've still got a couple left and will give them a few months more but at the moment I'd say I prefer the RyJ Belicoso.

Finally tried my first Talisman with just over a year on them

...not bad, they really have some kick at this point and that's about all I can say for now. Also notice the little bulge under the band on the left side. That's a giant STEM! This was the ugly duckling of the bunch and that's why I smoked it first, but I'm still amazed that they would let such a high profile flag$hip cigar leave the factory like that.

Partagas Lusitania BUP JUL 16 courtesy of@thedame007 in the UK Box Pass (which appears to be back in Yorkshire BTW).
Another campfire and another first. Ye gods what a beautifully put together cigar this is! Smooth easy draw, clean burn from start to (eventual) finish rolling through leather, milk coffee, sponge pudding, black coffee and ending in a pepper covered cream cake. Bloody marvellous.
Once home the next day I tried the little brother - Partagas Aristocrat UBM JUN 17 - that I picked up a couple of months ago out of curiosity more than anything as its rarely mentioned round these parts. A very decent little smoke I must say (same size as the du Prince). Partagas leather and spice, medium to full strength, well made, burns nicely and a good cheap end option for the coming winter months when away from a blazing fire I'd say. I'll definitely be getting more of both (Lusi on order already). Happy days indeed.
