Popular Post LLC
ABO JUL 17 RAG. One of my younger ones but already quite good. Enjoyed it watching the Raptors win to start the season 6-0 and a good close World Series game.
Popular Post inter4alia
Landed in Los Angeles this afternoon for a charity event tomorrow morning then a quick turnaround home. Didn't figure I'd have opportunity for a smoke so I left my travel kit at home for this in and out trip. Well, check into the hotel and got a free upgraded room with a balcony outfitted with two nice chairs and a bistro table with a clean ashtray. Fate. Found the closest cigar shop and headed back to my balcony with a mini from the mini bar. This is outdoor smoking weather I won't see again at home until springtime. Cheers! Back at the hotel after my charity event.
Popular Post awkwardPause
“Fancy night” with ‘04 Sublime and my favorite Scotch. Scotch was absolutely drop dead gorgeous stellar (as expected). Sublime very meh. The latter may sound like sacrilege to some, but I’m a fan of younger “vibrant”/rich smokes. Finished off the night with the real treat being a 2017 Party Presidentes. Who knew?! Lol. Cheers all!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Popular Post SokaKiel
In Barcelona for a two week work stint. Enjoyed a PL Corona, love the size, just a tad to expensive compared to the regular PLPC. Late at night a good Connosieur B. Today it’s unfortunately raining all day, not fun to sit outside an smoke...

Popular Post WABOOM
Vegueros Tapados. SLE SEP 15. Every time I smoke one I become a bigger fan of them. Perfect construction, and all the cuban flavors I look for. This one is particularly floral. Soft leather, sweetness, floral and a hint rain. I've gotten "rain" in cigars before- you know the smell of rain... I attribute it to tannic dryness.

Popular Post ha_banos
This was actually from a couple of days ago. The Padron wasn't mine. But the Don was. Was gifted by a forum buddy. Not often I get a chance to sit down for 2.5hrs. But this mini herf was a good opportunity. Damned nice smoke it was too. Popular Post JohnS
1. Montecristo Tubos PMU Sep 2014 The last one from the box, and it was the best. I absolutely love the dimensions of this cigar, a Coronas Grandes at 42 ring gauge x 155 mm (or 6.1 inches), for me, it's just perfect for its size. At just over 4 years of age, this had very typical Montecristo cocoa and coffee flavours, only that the strength of it was more intense than your standard Montecristo regular production cigar if you were to age it for 4 or 5 years. I would say the intensity was medium to medium-full. The other unique thing about the Tubos was its slight citrus twang. No wonder these sell so well when they invariably come up on 24:24 listings occasionally! 2. Montecristo No.1 ESL Jun 2017 This was milder than the Montecristo Tubos that I had immediately preceding it, the strength was medium-mild to a touch under medium. The problem with this cigar was mainly the bunched leaves in the first third which induced an uneven burn and required touch-ups. Otherwise, the Montecristo cocoa, coffee and nutty flavours were every bit as pleasurable as other Montecristo No.1's that I've had in the recent past. 3. H. Upmann No.2 LUB May 2014 At 4 and a half years of age, this was more intense in strength than my last H.Upmann No 2, albeit, it was awhile ago. The strength was more akin to a H.Upmann Magnum 46 rather than a H.Upmann Connossieur A or Sir Winston, for example. The one flavour that exemplified this cigar-smoking experience was definitely the spice or white pepper, which stayed consistent throughout the thirds. The spine of the cigar was more like wood and leather, complemented by a slight honey or licorice sweetness at times. I have a few more H.Upmann No.2's in my humidor and I think I can leave them to rest a little while longer. 4. Cohiba Siglo II MUO May 2014 This Siglo II is nearly 4 and a half years rested, yet I have no doubt that it will need another 3 years minimum until I'd get some creaminess to it! It surprised me in regards to it core flavour being more coffee than Cohiba grass/hay. Still, there was some honey and vanilla notes which redeemed the cigar for me quite handsomely.
