How do the ED54 compare to the most recent belicoso release? You feel the beli has potential like the ED54?

A Monte Edmundo (mar 17) from 24/24 that was just stellar.  Wonderful construction with a perfect burn.  Salty cedar and leather flavor throughout.

Checking in at the 2 year mark of these CoRo I got from our host. They are settling in nicely and starting to smooth out and have a more pronounced mocha note with the classic hay.
I always find young Coro to have a pepper note, which seems to be fading away.

I smoked two of the Conde Belicoso and then sold my box. They are not even close, IMO.

'12 Trinidad Coloniales paired with a couple fingers of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon. The Bourbon does have a helluva bite to it, but finishes surprisingly smooth for its high alcohol content. Was a little worried at first that the cigar would be overpowered by this bourbon, but to my surprise the smooth finish actually goes really well with this delightful cigar.

Tuesday night. That has to be a good reason to celebrate. The RyJ LE04 was so-so. Started off fairly well but the final third had both flavor and burn issues. The Canadian RA (ERO AGO09) was fantastic though. I was worried to have it as a second cigar but strong RA flavors in the first 2/3rds and great construction throughout.

It was good! I wish I could be more descriptive than that, but I have to admit that my palate misses a lot of the nuance of Cohiba, so I don't have a lot of experience or context to apply. There was a nice floral/honey note in the aroma off the foot, but the smoke had an ashy finish - so not a very "clean" flavor yet. I'll try another in a few months.
