Popular Post throberto
RyJ Belicoso last night. I had just eaten some raspberry yoghurt and this started off as a continuation of that, creamy and fruity and tangy. The fruitiness dipped in and out throughout with some creamy coffeness and almondy flavours coming in towards the end.My only disappointment was that it was the only one in the humidor, I feel a box purchase coming on!

Popular Post JohnS
1. Romeo y Julieta Churchills UEB Ago 2017 I can't remember the last Romeo y Julieta Churchill that disappointed me, perhaps it was 2 or 3 years ago. Mind you, I did go 'off' them for awhile, but this lot of 2016/17 RyJ Churchills have been very satisfying indeed! As usual, I loved the berry, rosewater and turkish delight flavours in this, in combination with a smooth toasted tobacco and a hint of sweet anise. I can't wait to have the next one from the box! 2. Quai d'Orsay Coronas Claro ETP Oct 2015 (thanks @Luca!) Gifted by Luca (thank you kindly), this was right on 3 years of age and my goodness, it was outstanding! Beautifully mild, this oozed butter shortbread throughout, together with some citrus and vanilla notes. What a wonderful under-rated cigar this is, do make sure to give them rest prior to smoking one, though! 3. Trinidad Fundadores RAG Nov 2017 This is another vitola that has been very, very consistent for me for the last 9 to 12 months, again, like the Romeo y Julieta Churchills, I can't remember one that let me down this year. The blend was the new, and now, familiar Trinidad coffee and dough or tea cake flavour profile, which was very easy to smoke. I gifted one to Luca and we both nubbed our cigars to the fingertips. Yes, they were that good! Incidentally, Rob and Ken just recently released a video on this very same cigar, with the same thoughts. If you can get a box of these, I'd suggest you certainly do so! 22
Popular Post RDB
Siglo IV tonight, and it’s a good one. Firmer than usual draw, but that seems to help lift it from mild to mid-bodied. Seasoned wood, some nuttiness, the classic grassy fragrance. Great straight burn, and after half an hour it’s building nicely. A Cohiba that delivers the goods, after a day chopping wood and working outdoors.
Popular Post LLC
BME AGO 11 Cohiba 1966. Haven’t had one in a while but though it would good for game 1 of the World Series. With an Americano and so far off to a great start.

Popular Post havanaclub
Checking in at the 2 year mark of these CoRo I got from our host. They are settling in nicely and starting to smooth out and have a more pronounced mocha note with the classic hay. I always find young Coro to have a pepper note, which seems to be fading away. Popular Post jtfrizzy
'12 Trinidad Coloniales paired with a couple fingers of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon. The Bourbon does have a helluva bite to it, but finishes surprisingly smooth for its high alcohol content. Was a little worried at first that the cigar would be overpowered by this bourbon, but to my surprise the smooth finish actually goes really well with this delightful cigar. Popular Post encephalization
Tuesday night. That has to be a good reason to celebrate. The RyJ LE04 was so-so. Started off fairly well but the final third had both flavor and burn issues. The Canadian RA (ERO AGO09) was fantastic though. I was worried to have it as a second cigar but strong RA flavors in the first 2/3rds and great construction throughout.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
