Popular Post throberto
Punch Punch 24:24This cigar is starting to become my go to. I must look into some more Corona Gorda. Just lowered the RH in my humidor and so far I think it's working. Draw and burn both spot on.

Popular Post Akela3rd
After yesterday's Mag 54 I went even bigger tonight with a 60rg Brickhouse Mighty Mighty from @Ritch in the UK Box Pass. Thanks Ritch! "Big boned" for the more PC amongst us , "fat as a lard taste tester with a mobility scooter" for the rest. Nice draw, charcoal and leather to start, bit of mild spice. Then nothing for the next half hour. The final third picked up with a nice full cocoa and then soil, not earthy, but actual soil. Good clean John Innes No.3 soil that you'd use to perk up your tomato plants. Go figure. What it reminded me of more than anything was a really big Quintero Favoritos, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Brickhouse do a robusto and a short torpedo I see, which might be more manageable options.

Popular Post JohnS
1. Partagás Serie D No.6 RAE Dic 2014 I've been going through this box, and even handed out a few to some friends, and honestly, this just keeps satisfying! Lovely coffee, sourdough and leather notes throughout at a touch under medium, I'm really glad to have let these rest so they could develop like this. Again, I smoked this very slowly which only enhanced the smoking experience. 2. Montecristo No.2 UTL Mar 2018 Only six months old and I've got to say, boy does El Pres know how to pick these! It's was gloriously smooth and mild for its age, with quintessential Montecristo cocoa and coffee flavours. I was pleasantly surprised by the hint of nut in this, and perhaps some evidence of creaminess, which allowed me to enjoy this well into the final third. 3. Rafael González Petit Coronas UTE Oct 2015 This is another box I've been going through which has been fantastic so far. At three years of age, I especially loved the combination of aged cedar and baking spice in this cigar, together with the cocoa, earth and floral mildness throughout. What a gorgeous under-rated cigar this is, give it a try if you get the opportunity!

Popular Post Habana Mike
Last night I cracked a box of the Don with 3 years box age. Quite a stout smoke. Reminds me of the originals with its richness and strength. Tonight it's the JV13 from Pete Johnson's Monster series. Surprised the lack of pepper. Quite a nice smoke.

I'm yet to try one and I could do with knowing how much time to put aside!

Popular Post potvin
Nice treat from a buddy. The favor is stronger than the typical Hoyo. The 1/3 was kind of close then opened up so well from the 1/2 onwards until it became a bit spicy thru the end of it. This beauty should still be kept in humidor for another year or so!

Colt45
No pics (will explain).... A Cabaiguan Maduro - believe it to be a Guapos 46.......... Was up in Portsmouth New Hampshire for an art event yesterday. I love Federal Cigar - the shop and bar - but really didn't think I'd be stopping in this time around. Ended up with time to kill, so there I went. Cigar was very nice - good flavor, impeccable draw and burn. A glass of Zacapa didn't hurt. But truly, it was much less about the actual cigar. It just felt great to be able to sit there, have a drink, enjoy a cigar, in a fantastic environment. So as to the pics, I just didn't want to be the "instagram guy" in the bar....
