Rare opportunity for a weekday afternoon smoke, so I pulled out a 2002 LGC MdO1.  Icing sugar and cookie dough, building into jasmine tea. Yum.

Another one of these great HDM Epi2 from UEB ABR 18. Really classy smoke. More bite amd body than I’m used to from this cigar, but a complex, elegant and flavoursome package. How am I going to age them!?

Today while playing golf with my dad I smoked a JO EL Robusto Reserva, very generous gift courtesy of @mbflash80.  It was incredible.  Absolutely phenomenal smoke.  Cream, honey, coffee, citrus.  That certain taste people call Cuban twang in spades.  Delicious.  Amazing.  I’ve smoked lots of JO cigars and like them a lot, but this one was over the top.  Excellent.

Slightly ridiculous smoke in the London drizzle, but needs must. RASS and tea, ALO SEP 16. The tea brings out the herbal and spicy side to this cigar, and pushes the fruitiness back. I had one of these with some Sauternes on Saturday, and the effect was the reverse: the sweetness of the wine brought the fruit forward.
