Very well thanks. This was the first I've had out of this (my only remaining) box and it was a cracking smoke - a strength that flies in the face of the usual HdM profile, earthy, vanilla, cocoa powder.
You've got the only other one that's not sleeping. Enjoy!

1. Hoyo de Monterrey Pirámides 2003 - Selección Pirámides (circa 2004 - thanks @Trevor2118!)

Gifted by Trevor (thank you!), this special release Seleccion Piramides from 2004 was cocoa, cedar, light toast and cinnamon spice throughout. Surprisingly, there was very little cream. For a cigar that was 14 years old, the flavours were abundant which is ample proof that Cuban cigars, kept in prime storage conditions, can have a long shelf life. I have no doubt that I could have kept this in my humidor for a few more years yet, but I doubt that I could have had much more improvement as this was great as it was.

2. Sancho Panza Molinos  USU-VC-2 (Aug 98) (thanks @ayepatz!)

If you've ever had the chance to peruse Min Ron Nee's opus to Habanos cigars, "An Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Post-Revolution Havana Cigars", then you'd appreciate just how often there are references to how cigars develop over 5, 10, 15 and even 20 years and more! This wonderful lonsdale, generously gifted to me by ayepatz (thanks mate!) was incidentally 20 years of age last month. How was it different to younger Molinos I've had, under 10 years of age? There was the quintessential Sancho Panza wood and salt, but the biggest difference is that the cream flavours had transformed into a dominate floral character which was beautifully refined, just what you'd want from a cigar of this age. If you have Molinos, which were sadly discontinued in 2012, do yourself a flavour and try to keep them long enough to develop this floral character. I can assure you, you won't regret it!
