I thought it was ok, interesting flavor but no real development... kinda flat. I was wondering if it was just past its prime. What did you think? Box from 2012. They've been more hit than miss. They were very good young, then there was several years of blah. Last nights was outstanding. Why? Hoping it was due to age. 1

Popular Post JohnS Posted September 13, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 13, 2018 1. H. Upmann Connoisseur No.1 ROA Jun 2011 (thanks @ayepatz!) Thank you ayepatz for gifting me this aged H.Upmann Connoisseur No.1! This smoked exactly as I thought it would, it's at the point where the espresso coffee flavour is receding and the shortbread and cream is building. If you give it another 3 years, then I envisage it would be shortbread and cream from start to finish. Around the middle point of the cigar the white pepper and toasted tobacco started to take over which gave it a nice complexity for me. Great smoke from start to finish! 2. Trinidad Ingenios 2007 - Edición Limitada OUR Dic 2007 (thank you again, @ayepatz!) The Trinidad Ingenios 2007 Limited Edition has been noted as one of the worst-rated Limited Editions upon release on our forum. The irony is that after around 7 years, these started to wake up out of their bland cacophany. You see, Trinidad is a somewhat complex marca, it's difficult at times to nail down the myriad flavours in their vitolas, but they do share a coffee, hay and sweetness that sings when you smoke it! This Ingenios was gifted to my by ayepatz (thank you mate!), and I must emphasise just how good this lonsdale was. It started off as all chocolate and coffee, like many a limited edition cigar, but along its spine was an aged baking spice which pulled me in. In the middle third there were notes of wood, cream which intensified in the final third, with stronger herbal flavours and leather. Wow, what a beautiful complex smoke and what a joy it was to nub! 19
Popular Post Lotusguy Posted September 13, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 13, 2018 LGC D5. Glad they made 50k boxes of this - means they will still be around if I need to stock up more. Dislike the vitola, but this Medio Siglo tubo from 1/17 was a very nice smoke indeed. 21

Popular Post MountainMilG Posted September 14, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 14, 2018 Birthday smoke last night. Aged Party Shorts with a nice glass of Basil Hayden bourbon on the back steps. Debated something bigger, but was tired and these are just about perfect for me. 13

Popular Post Islandboy Posted September 14, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 14, 2018 Had one of the strangest experiences last night, which seems to be the norm for the handful of Monte 2’s I’ve had. The aroma, both cold and once lit, was out of this world with the Cuban twang. In fact the best way to describe the taste is cocoa flavored Cuban twang. Absolutely wonderful and aromatic. But I struggled the whole way to draw through it, not because it was plugged, but rather it appeared to be wet. This despite dry boxing for 2 weeks (straight from purchase in Canada). Guess I need to give the other 4 some serious acclimatization time, but damn, don’t want to lose that taste! 15

Popular Post liquid360 Posted September 14, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 14, 2018 Due to some oral surgery, I am technically not supposed to smoke a cigar for three months. It’s been one, but it’s felt like three. That counts, yes?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro 17

Still have not had one yet. Shooting for Christmas 2

Popular Post Jbhunter223 Posted September 14, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 14, 2018 HUPC from our host. Much needed after these past few weeks. Company I worked for sold my location and only gave us a couple weeks notice, but I got the offer I was hoping for yesterday. I will have to smoke something special to celebrate with in a week or two after I start. 14
Popular Post Kaptain Karl Posted September 15, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 15, 2018 Clearance Connie A that I drunkenly bought on 24:24 a few months back that finally hit the 30 day mark. Holy shit, these things need absolutely no down time...she’s firing on all cylinders! It’s surprisingly better than a 5 pack of ‘13 Connie A’s that I bought from a buddy. 11 1
