I have just proven you don't need a wrapper ? It drew perfectly and tasted a little sweeter than usual. Other than the ash flaking off every half inch, it was fine. ? 3

Which was worse? Another PUM FEB 13 RyJ Coronitas en Cedros with some Barbancourt 8 year. The cigars have legs to age for decades. Might stash the last 2 or 3 for another 10 years. The pairing? Rockem sockem! 1

Popular Post JohnS Posted September 9, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 9, 2018 1. Reynaldo Robusto (with shaggy foot) Abr 2016 (thanks @ayepatz!) Wow, what a cigar! This is the famous Reynaldo Robusto custom (with shaggy foot). Upon the very instance it was lit, you could easily tell that the cigar was rolled with fine, quality leaf. What struck me was the orange citrus and cake texture to the smoke of the draw combined with a mocha coffee, tobacco and black pepper, at times, power. These Reynaldo customs have been compared to Vegas Robaina and Ramon Allones marcas in the past, but this was, for me, closest to an amplified Juan Lopez Seleccion No.2 or very close in strength and profile to a Cohiba Behike 54. Thank you ayepatz for gifting me this wondrous cigar! 2. Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo du Prince SOM Jun 2016 At just a tad over two years old, this sadly-now deleted cigar blew me away with it's cream texture, cinnamon spice and hints of sweet vanilla coupled with a combined light cedar and cocoa spine. The Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo du Prince stands out for its flavours, when it's like this, in comparison to other petit coronas. I have a half a box left of these and I intend to savour every one! 3. Por Larrañaga Montecarlos TOS Mar 2017 It's been a month or two since I've had the last one from this box and at 15 months old, I must say, these have been impressive for their age. Nice coffee, toasted tobacco and caramel notes which will no doubt develop further with age. I would have like to have had some 'honey-like' sweetness to this cigar, but this criticism is only minor, the cigar was very, very good for the stage that it's at. 20
