1. Punch Punch 48 LGR Ene 2018

Only six months old and one can tell that these will no doubt get better with age. The smoke output on this in the first third was exemplary! Cedar, peanut and some spice, if you have picked up a box of these make sure to give them a little time to see how they develop!

2. Sancho Panza Belicosos PTR Oct 2016

I feel sad, after smoking this, that I have only two left in my humidor! This Sancho Panza Belicosos might have been under two years old, but it was so good I was contemplating burning my fingers to get more out of it! It was a balanced mix of light toast, wood, salt and cream that got me from the first puff and didn't let me go one iota until the last.

3. Montecristo Especiales No.2 LAU May 2016

This was the third Montecristo Especiales No.2 that I've had this year which was outstanding from 'go-to-whoa' (i.e. from beginning to end). For a two year-old cigar, I marvel had how light this was in strength and how subtle it was in flavour. Montecristo coffee combined with a powdered milk cocoa, there were hints of vanilla sweetness, almond nut and a creamy texture throughout. Simply wondrous!

4. Cohiba Shorts

I shared one with Fuzz and we both marveled how good this was for a purito. The ash was long and consistent, the smoke output was impressive and the Cohiba grass/hay, citrus and honey flavours were truly satisfying. This was every bit a good as a quality aged regular production cigar!

MUR AGO 13 Bolivar Libertadores. I’ve had a couple from this box and both were excellent. Hoping this one keeps that going. Enjoying with an Americano after a nice Steak on the grill.
